Description
I use this for gaming and browsing. Goal was to put together a system that could run games pretty well at 2k, get really good bang for my buck, and opt for tried and true parts even though they may be from a previous generation. All works very well together and I highly recommend all of these parts individually as well in the package I put them in. Bought many of the parts on sale as well, so prices may not accurately reflect what I paid. Also added in a few cheap, $5 fans on the case as well that are not on this list.

CPU
Bought this to pair it with a 6800xt and works well. Fast and great value. Highly recommended.
CPU Cooler
Keeps my 5700x cool and looks awesome. Installation took some trial and error but only because it was my first pc build. Good value for the price.
Motherboard
Great value for a motherboard that includes everything I'd ever need. Doesn't have wifi but just got a usb wifi adapter to go with it. BIOS wasn't hard to navigate.
Memory
Super fast ram and great value. Suits my needs perfectly. No issues so far.
Storage
Great storage. Large enough to suit my needs. Helps create fast load times. Highly recommended for the value.
Video Card
Great GPU if you can find it on sale for $450 or less brand new. Otherwise I'd just go with the 7800xt (around $490) if I were you to get the new architecture. This one is tried and true and handles anything I throw at it in 2024. Monster of a gpu. No issues with sag in my case and didn't need to add any additional support to hold it up or anything. Doesn't run too loud that I hear it and stays cool with proper ventilation. Good value for the performance.
Case
Perfect case for my needs. Spacious, easy to work in, and allows for addition of many fans. Looks pretty slick as well with front rgb. Highly recommended.
Power Supply
Powers my 5700x and 6800xt very well. No signs of any issues. Great value, highly recommended.
Monitor
Fantastic monitor for the price. Great colors and can get very bright if needed. Looks amazing. Includes some very cheap speakers but headset or other external speakers can easily be used.
Keyboard
Really all I needed. Looks really cool and haven't had any issues with it. If you aren't looking for anything crazy or special, just get this keyboard and call it a day.
Mouse
Solid and sturdy mouse. No complaints. Feels good to use and looks pretty cool. If you want a tried and true option, just go with this one.
Headphones
One of the best headsets you can get. Save your money for other components or games and just get this, it's great. (Try to find a Kingston version if possible; word is that the HP version of this headset isn't quite as good, but I can't personally confirm this from experience).
