nice! my previous build was with a fx6300 and a g43 mobo. one thing to keep in mind with that board is air flow. i dont think you will have that problem with that case but i was getting real high temps across my mobo if i turned the fans down. its just something to keep a eye on. +1

+1 i really like how a good portion of the build is behind the mobo. really cool. and i do believe that the corsair h100i is the cooler of choice for us skylake ppl. it can be a bit loud with the stock fans. im looking into something a little quieter but still efficient.

i removed the factory paste that corsair had on it and put artic silver 5. after much research, the temps seem to be normal.

that is very reassuring. my last build was a fx6300. apples and oranges, i know. but if i got anywhere near 80c with my amd build, it would lock up. so im a little cautious with temps.

im going to try to dial back the voltage a hair and see if it stays stable. i know im nit picking about this, for the simple fact, i will never push my cpu as hard as prime95 can push it.

it actually peaked at 87c then backed off and stayed in the 80s before i lost my nerve and cut it off. running xtu, it gets up to 67c and thats it, 70c if it is a little warm out. im going to run prime again and get a average.

I ran mine to 4.5 with a hyper evo. I had to adjust the vcore yo keep it stable. Push pull at 100% when it got to about 50c.

i am not using the stock fans. im using a 120mm jet flo in the back and two 140 cryorig fans in the front. the two fans on the corsair h110i v2 are the only stock ones. i dont really know anything about there stock fans that came with the case because i removed them right away. they might be good. idk.

nice job! if you are comfortable with going a little hotter then 54°c then u can still bump the cpu up to around 4.5ghz. the hyper evo will do a good job at keeping it cool.

you def might be on the side of luck. 66°c at 100% load. I've read that expect to see high 70's when you start to push them.

i suggest getting the rig off the rug. your kinda choking the power supply. overclocking these cpu's are a dream. i have a bottom of line board and can still get a steady 4.53ghz out of it.
