Should've waited a few more weeks for the price of the 1080 to go down, you could've saved like $300

If you had gone with a more simple build (I.E. not watercooled) you could've gotten some better peripherals and even a 5960X or just an X99 but then again I guess that's bit overkill, but I do see that you wanted to watercool and that's just my opinion and I am kind of an idiot lol

Why would you go with a 4960X when a 5960X is better and $250 cheaper?

I agree the 390 is better than the 970 because it is DX12 compatible and has 8GB VRAM (which is a bit overkill but still good) and the 970 only has 3.5GB of VRAM.

How's the CPU working out? I'm thinking about getting one myself but I can't decide between that or a 4690k. My first reaction would be to get the 4690k but I'm kind of on a budget.

I would've gone with at least a 2TB HDD right off the bat, and gotten a 500GB SSD but it's your build you can do what you want with it. (by the way I'm 14 :D)

Just a 1TB SSD? I mean I'm surprised that you didn't go with with at least a 1TB HDD as well.

Pascal is nVidia's new GPU architecture, and yes it's the 1080/1070. And the 1080 and 1070 are substantially better than the other GPUs, the 1070 is more powerful than a single Titan X and the 1080 is more powerful than 980ti SLI.

You would get bottlenecks with the FX-6300 and a 970. This build has a great choice of hardware. The i5 is probably the best gaming CPU out there right now, you don't need an i7 for gaming. Plus this build can run any game at 1080p medium-ultra settings out there. The FX-6300 would be a poor choice of a CPU, even though it's cheaper.
