Remove the SSD, if it's not essential, and you need to shave a few dollars off your build, remove the SSD, also the case fans, do you really need them? The Case is a bit pricey and in my opinion doesn't look very aesthetically pleasing...

Hi, which noctua fan did you use for exhaust? I just bought some and I was wondering if you were also using the nf-f12's for exhaust?

If this build is for gaming, then I would have suggested the i5 4690K instead, so you have more money to get a better Video Card, the 970 for example.

Comment reply on ticaipod's Completed Build: Gaming PC - GTX970 - i5-4690 - *First Build* -

that's because gaming PCs don't need after market coolers, unless you're playing CPU intensive games which will mean your cooler works harder to cool your CPU which is being used more. If the maximum usage of your CPU is 50% max on games, why get an aftermarket cooler? He also has a regular 4690, he can't OC so he won't need a better cooler.

Actually; my friend is doing the same thing; he bought all of his parts which were terrible in comparison to what his original plan is. I disapprove; just because your wasting money imo.

Why did you get a 660? You could have easily cut down a little bit on other parts to get a balanced GPU...

Gonna also need a aftermarket cooler, stock coolers literally meet the bare minimum of heat output that the CPU outputs! I recommend a H100i, or Noctua based coolers or if you're on a budget a Hyper 212 Evo
