Really like the flexibility of the lighting! I may try to do a neutral look so that the color scheme can be determined by lights.
Really clean build!
Even with a backplate on the GPU that build is super clean. Very Nice!
Love the setup! I'm a huge fan of the clean black and white builds, yours is a lot like mine with more emphasis on the black. What keyboard/mouse mat is that? It looks super clean with the white border lighting.
Gotcha, thank you!
Thanks for the suggestion!
So much ignorance lol (not you, talking about original comment)
Absolutely gorgeous build!
Very clean setup! Love it! +1
Gosh I love clean black and white builds and this is definitely one of my favorites. I also love how full the system is inside, it's like step further than normal simple builds. +1!
Some people just don’t read...
Yes if you go to completed builds and then click on the title of my latest build (Earendil v1) it will bring up the actual photos of the build.
I love seeing builds with black and white color schemes. Those LED strips are nice, considering most other RGB ones have a blue tint to the "white" preset. I got a CableMod RGBW strip with dedicated whites specifically to combat this.
Ah I see. Thanks!
I am loving this desk cable management! What did you do to secure the power bricks to the bottom of the desk? I've started to realize external cable management is as important as internal lol
Yup! I actually made a separate post with with link but I’ll update it here too
Just an update, found a random post on Gskill forums that fixed it :D
Love to see fans of Fallout previous to FO4, some of my all-time favorites!
Ya that second scenario is definitely more fitting for me, guess I should’ve included that in my original post. I’m probably overthinking this as my current chair is just a random one we’ve had laying around, so most anything is an improvement to this lol. Thanks for the help!
Gotcha. How much would I be looking to spend for a decent one?
Hmm ok. I may just disconnect the LED's for just a plain white bar (I've got a black and white build anyway) or maybe just keep fiddling around with it.
Agreed, they make some good looking stuff. Clean looking build!
I've got a 1060 and painted it like that except with white instead of gray.
Yes. It was first at 2133 and then enabled XMP. Rebooted, went into bios, XMP was off and not able to be activated and ram was at 2400.
Agreed. It’s one thing to “stay true to yourself,” but then he gets aggressive towards other people’s own preferences just because it’s a part of the majority. Kind of a double standard...
It's not featured, the homepage just shows the most recent builds and updates occasionally. His happened to appear on the page.
Ok sweet! I was wondering if there’s some what to see what’s take besides the gray circle that Windows shows in properties
Overkill? Gold is just barely above average lol.
69 points currently, don't wanna be the one to screw it up but this build is beautiful.
As a lover of black and white builds, I greatly appreciate this build! Plus the desk setup is amazing.
I have never gotten tired of the layout on PCPP, but I definitely still love the new layout! A little more bolded and full if that makes sense.
Thanks! Can't wait to actually use it on trips when I'm really craving some gaming lol
Ya so this is my first day using it at school, but it's right at 55% and is a little over halfway through the day. Granted, it will be much lower on days when every single class requires it the whole time and I will have to charge it, but I have to do that with the MacBooks they give us so it's not a big deal. And I have the screen at its lowest brightness (which is still plenty bright) and no backlight on.
I actually just discovered that it uses the intel GPU when I'm not doing much. MSI afterburner shows 0% usage and like 5% on the integrated so that's nice.
Good tip on the RGB part lol. I actually just recently flipped a PC (sorta). Bought a prebuilt from a friend for $350 and put it on for $550 with a few inquiries over the next week, and ended up with a trade for a $1000 gaming laptop! Honestly, making any money for a PC build is awesome to me. It's basically getting paid for a hobby!
It's the Y530 with the 1050ti and i7-8750H. Looking in MSI Afterburner, it shows the dedicated GPU and the option to show Intel UHD 630 iGPU. Just another note, I currently have in an HDD which I plan to replace with M.2 very soon so that should save on battery as well.
I really don't understand why some people believe that hardware is bad just because there is a newer one out.
So I definitely want to get rid of the hard drive. Even after a full clean, I can feel a noticeable difference between 5400rpm and my 7200rpm on my desktop. I'm probably going to get a cheap 500gb 2.5 SSD. I'm just going to do schoolwork and a few games on it for mobile gaming (I'm keeping my desktop) so I don't really need a Samsung Evo. And then I'll probably add an M.2 later, or maybe first if I find a good deal. The HDD is too audible for my liking. Plus my dad needs more storage for his work PC and 5400rpm will do just fine (he just has to download PDF's and other documents.) My main question about replacing the drive is reinstalling Windows. Laptops store the OEM key on the board itself or something, right? I won't have to get a new key or transfer the HDD to the SSD?
As for my liking, I'll have to see. I literally got it yesterday but It's impressive so far. Fairly slim design, IPS panel looks amazing, slim-ish bezels. This is my first laptop so I don't have to much to go off of. I've only used the crappy 13 inch Macbook Air provided by my high school, so this is already loads better. Even has a number pad!
I've never seen that case but I love it! It has a cool architectural look to it. And usually I'm not a fan of the rainbow RGB, but there's something about your build that makes it work! Beautiful color mix and it just looks good on the black and white.
Even though it's not as small as other ITX cases, this is probably more mobile than any others due to its durability. No need to clear a spot in your vehicle to set it securely, you can (almost literally) just throw it in and go. Amazing job.
That's the headset you're seeing, the headband blends in in the dark.
Ya not sure of the other specs, but he actually bought this one for $200 and got 3 more for free. 2 from the same friend and 1 from his dad’s friend. Have one away and the other two he keeps at each parent’s house
Ok thanks! And ya he’s cool with me flipping it. He literally has 3 of them that he got from friends for free and is just trying to get rid of it, he hasn’t really tried to sell it publicly.
Z170 motherboard, tempered glass case (Phanteks I think), not sure about storage but I could add some if necessary. What do you sell them on, and how long does it usually take? And he’s selling it to me for that, so I’d be making a profit.
This is WAY better than any RGB Rainbow PC lol
OK I thought I had heard of something like that. I've been wanting to make a channel just for fun, so obviously ad revenue isn't a worry. Thanks!
+1 I used to have that case.
This is amazing! It looks like a sealed sample from some extraterrestrial planet.
