The tubes pointed up? If they were pointed down they would've touched the gpu's pcb. I have zip ties holding the tubes down so they don't touch the top fan.
I haven't adjust fan curves although I really should. I am worried I might screw something up and end up overheating my cpu. MSI Afterburner doesn't download right (it downloads as a .rar instead of .exe or .zip).
Tech Youtubers: JayzTwoCents, Bitwit, LinusTechTips, NcixTechTips, Techquikie, Paul's Hardware, and Salazar Studio. I would say just got with an RX580 (new release). It's the same price as a 480 and overclocks better. If you don't know anything, look it up.
I spent about 4 months looking stuff up and when I built my pc, I knew everything I was doing. for gpus and cpus, look at benchmarks and price. For motherboards, learn the connectors and decide how many you need. ALC1220 chip from Realtek is latest audio chip. Kabylake is the lastest generation from intel. Ryzen is the latest from AMD. In Kabylake cpus, the K at the end of the cpu means that it is overclockable. All Ryzen chips are overclockable. Asus makes quality motherboards (best quality from what I've heard around the internet). In a monitor, look for Freesync (Freesync 2 is new but not in any monitors yet) and G-sync. Look up what they are. Freesync and G-sync monitors are more expensive.
For a powersupply, 550watts is good enough for one gpu and cpu. the 80+ system represents power efficiency. If you care about looks, try to find a picture of the psu cables. Modular powersupplies have all removable cables. Semi-Modular psu's have the 24-ATX (motherboard) and 8-pin (cpu) permanatly attached to the power supply. The rest of the cables are detachable. Semi-Modular is the best deal IMO.
Look up the best ram speed. I think 3600 is the best for gaming, but it is costly. (LinusTechTips video on that).
Storage speed (fastest to slowest that is reasonable in price) M.2 - SSD - Harddrive/HDD. M.2 is insanely fast. Make sure it has an M.2 M key. Motherboards have M key slots for storage devices.
Make sure you use enough case fans so there is good air flow in your system. If there is no airflow (no fans) then the components will overheat (assuming they are air cooled).
Any other questions?
Meh. Only Amazon cuz we could buy giftcards for them.
Stock. Haven't put the time into overclocking yet. It's the radiator fans that are making off the noise (I think).
Good build! I wouold recommend, however, that you cable manage those cables. It pays off in the end as those cables are probably restricting airflow to your graphics cards and for the looks. Don't you want your pc to find a lover, get married, and have a sweet looking pc child? Wait, wrong species....
I built this a couple months before I posted this.
Thanks! Yeah... about the CPU... it came shipped in a HUGE BOX. Guess what was in that box? The CASE!!! CRUSHING THE CPU BOX!!! Rip. I think my mom threw away the cpu box on accident, oh well.
Btw ur gonna go blind from staring at ur pc 24/7.
HIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!! DO U PLAY CSGO?
Who cares about this guy's pc? Look at his photography skills.
Same. I wish I had a Microcenter. I only have a Best Buy. And In my state's captial, the Nvidia cards they have are the founders editioins and no processors.
ACTUALLY mei is a lady. SYMMETRA on the other hand... is a cancer that LOOKS like a lady.
HOW DID U GET THIS FOR UNDER 2200 DOLLARS? HOW? U HAD A MONITOR, MOUSE, KEYBOARD, AND SPEAKERS. I know you cheaped out on stuff... but HOW?
Why is it called CHILLIPEPPER? Nice build.
U LIED!!!!! THE PROCESSOR ISN'T FROM MSI!!!!
So Much RGB. Brain Can't Process. SYNTAX ERROR.
Lovin' that cooler
Not being sarcastic.
No, it's not weird at all! Totally understandable!
You spent over $3,000 dollars... and got an AIR cooler? (some weird face goes here with wide eyes and is creepy)
BUY THE 1080 FROM NEWEGG. FREE GAME WITH IT.
Feel free to judge.
Hey, Kabylake is cheaper now. An i5-6600k is only like... $2 less than an i5-7600k.
But this is a really nice first build.
I'm looking at this for a build that I'm making for my friend who knows NOTHING ABOUT pcs. He didn't know what 4K resolution was. But he has 2,000 he won to spend. So I'm being nice and finding him a good build. This one is probably out of reach. Mostly because the PS3 and chassis isn't listed for price, and the ssd is €0. Like... wtf?
