This looks amazing dude! I love it.
We need more pics! and the fans on the bottom of your case are upside down :)
First build? Damn, it looks amazing dude! Did you run into any hurdles when building?
Great Scott! That's a nice build you got there :)
Holy cow is that case really worth $240?? It looks great, I think a price closer to $150 would be more fitting...
This looks awesome dude! Good job!
I think it looks pretty damn good man.
Holy cable management batman
Couple of things wrong with this comment. If we built the system you're envisioning (which I have done, thanks pcpp), it comes out to $968.16 when OP's build came out to $757.23. That a difference of $210.93. So, while your build might be a "bang for your buck" to you, you might not have the same financial situation as OP. So, telling OP that their build is not bang for their buck is silly.
Also, if you spend $60 on a cooler, you're not getting "free performance" lol
Awesome PC dude. I'd argue that right now is probably the best time to buy for the next couple months lol thanks corona
Sorta echoing what blobewab said - faster ram is necessary, but not required. and regarding the storage, $220 for 2TB is storage is way high. I would've looked for 1TB SSD around $100 and a 2TB HDD around $70-$80.
Super solid build! I love it. Well done.
Well done dude!
MVP! Any bowing in the wood? Does it wobble easily?
I second asking about that desk! The build is amazing :)
yeah that doesn't answer my question lol I'm asking what is that fan randomly doing attached in your case. It's not moving any air anywhere.
You're going to want to flip the fans on your radiator. If I'm not mistaken, they're currently setup to push the internal hot air through the radiator, which is no bueno for CPU temps.
what the heck is that uphere fan on the right even doing
Super solid build dude!
The financial allocation in this build, if that item list is accurate, is all over the place. 1060 for nearly $400 is severely overpriced, liquid cooler is unnecessary and could've gotten you an even better GPU if you stuck with the adequate stock cooler, and the PSU is slightly overpriced. Probably could've found one for $40 cheaper.
that beaut deserves to go on your desk :) awesome build!
who is this woman staring back at me
mother of god
ok dude lol
First-time boot success is something not many users can boast, so props to you, my friend. If it gets the job done and it makes you happy, nothing else matters :)
Yes, they're adding so much construction nearby it's insane. The new building across the street, west of the Chuckbox used to be a parking lot that I used every damn day.
Last I hear about the MU, they took out the bowling alleys? That's what I meant. Crazy how much the area is expanding.
I appreciate the honesty lol Solid build!
Fellow Sun Devil! :D I haven't been to the Tempe campus in like 4 years. I heard the MU basement got completely gutted.
The bottom line is that OP should've bought faster RAM in the first place for basically the same price. There is nothing left to debate
Of course I'm not advocating for buying ANOTHER set of RAM, I'm advocating for replacing. Returns/selling is always an option.
Really great looking build!
Not sure I understand what you mean. OP can pick up 3200mhz RAM for $63 right now. OP spent $60 on RAM, so I think the $3 extra is worth.
You definitely want to upgrade that ram at some point since AMD CPUs love fast ram. I'd aim for at least 3200mhz.
Well done! Great build :)
your description earlier just said "gaming" so I thought I'd be funny and make a reply with just as much effort lol
Have you thought about seeing a therapist
The asymmetrical design on the ram is driving me nuts. Cool build tho!
That case is enormous
In all seriousness, go with what will make you happy. That's what's most important :)
You're missing out on that 15% performance boost from RGB
Super solid build! I'd add another intake fan on the front and an exhaust on the top so you can exhaust the naturally rising hot air :P
Love the fix job on the CPU cooler lol well done man
Very cool! I wonder if there are any mini-style GPUs with a blower configuration. I think that would be cool for your rig since your current GPU is a big boi.
