No BS, no RGB, just sauce !
Have the glass panels gone too far?
Noctua is love, Noctua is life.

Why four 560 rads?
Exactly how I like computers: clean & powerful.
I don't really need more than a GTX1070 in my case.
In fact, most of the softwares I'm using are mainly cpu dependant.
This is why I haven't taken a better gpu.
I'm also a casual gamer, and only play @ 1920x1200 / 60fps. A GTX1060 would have been adequate too.
This is an official OEM version of the E5-2699 V4, there was only 200$ difference between the ES and the OEM version when I had bought them.

Honestly, I can't really answer, because I don't really use software that take advantage of high frequency memory.
The high amount of core compensate the slow memory.
And as a matter of fact, I have scored 5626 at cinebench.
Please post more pictures !
And for photography, video editing and 3D rendering which is the main usage of this workstation ?
I don't have time to breath that the encoding is finished
Only the GPU can be ovelocked.
Both CPU are limited to their frequency (stock : 2.2ghz, 2.8ghz in turboboost for all cores)
I've been upgrading this computer since one year.
Both CPU has been upgraded twice: I used to have a pair of E5-2620V3 (that I got for a dirt cheap), then a pair of E5-2667V3 ES, and finally a pair of E5-2696V4.
The pair of E5-2667V3 ES was quite good, but I was hesitating about switching to AMD with the 1950X, a good overclocking and a smaller case. Problem: the resale price of both E5-2667V3 ES and the motherboard was low, so I've been hesitated for some month.
Then, while I was searching some parts on Ebay, I saw the Xeon E5-2696V4 for 1150$.
This CPU is exactly the same as the E5-2699 V4, but with 100mhz more in turbo frequency.
I finally decided to take a pair of them because:
- it's a long-term purchase, so I took the best at the time of purchase.
- when using a small amount of core, the frequency is quite good (3,700 MHz 1 core, 3,400 MHz 4 cores, 3,000 MHz 8 core, ,2,800 MHz 22 cores)
- I use some softwares that can take advantage of a lot of cores (DXO Photolabs)
(I hope my english is clear enough, I speak natively french)
Photography, video editing, 3D rendering (CPU), video games.
Those are DDR4 2133mhz memory, they doesn't make a lot of heat.
I put these blocks mainly for esthetic reason, and secondly in order to improve their lifetime.
I remember having doing simultaneously 3d rendering (sweet home 3d), video rendering (premiere pro) and photography (DXO Photolabs) without any lags.
photography, video editing, rendering and video games.
Welcome to the PCMR
No, they are OEM.
The motherboard detect them perfectly.
Speccy doesn't recognize them and report that they are the model E5-2699V4.
I bought a pair of E5-2620V3 with 8x8 gb of ECC REG ram for a dirt cheap.
It was cheaper and easier to upgrade both CPU, than to sell the motherboard, RAM and CPU.
And the E5-2696V4 has a high turbo boost frequency.
They can run @ 3.7ghz when using a small amount of core, and while running them all at 100%, they're running @ 2.6ghz.
Unfortunately, too late...
For this point, you're right, but there aren't any other possibility with this case.
I can barely add 3 intakes fans:
- one on the back
- one on the bottom (but I have to remove the 120mm rad)
- one on the side panel (which is currently the case)
They were "refurbished" on a local seller.
I used to own these fans: too noisy.
5450 @ cinebench
There isn't any big difference of temperature between both temperature.
When doing full stress test, I got only 1 to 2° of difference.
This is the loop : pump - - > rad 120 - - > gpu - - > radiator 420 - - > cpu 1 - - > cpu 2 - - > rad 280 - - > pump
And yes, soft tubing ftw!
Because the heat had to go outside the case.
I used to know a Silverstone FT05 with a 360x180mm radiator, the heat was passing inside the case, and the composants was hot.
I found them on Ebay.
You have to write something like "Xeon V3 ES".
I'm in love with this configuration.
I've a similar configuration, and I'm currently thinking about changing my GPU in order to take this WX7100.
Is this graphic card silent at IDLE and while running ?
Thank you in advance.
Précisément un petit suisse !
You look a little dumb. DXO Optics Pro use all the core, especially while generating and rendering.
Premiere Pro is also the kind of application who's algorithms are multithreading.

Don't you know the difference between a swiss and a swedish guy ?
You're right, I've an external USB soundcard (RME Babyface)
ça fait plaisir de voir des francophones ici.
Petite question sur le Kraken X62: est-ce que le watercooling est silencieux ?
Is your Quadro M4000 silent ?
"bonnard" est un mot typiquement suisse qui veut dire "cool", "sympa".
Il est à prononcer avec un bon accent suisse bien gras.
Mais en Suisse, on est bonnard !
Photoshop work perfectly on my computer.
Do you have any ideas how to benchmark this?
"nuit d'or" sound really fine to me.
Having said that, "nuit d'AU" is really funny.
"Nuit d'au" sound like "nuit d'eau" which means "night of water".
(yes, in french, we have 4x less sound that in english, making confusions is common in this language)
(please pardon my french: I was wondering what is the meaning of the word "jips". Thank you in advance)
You're right, "nuit d'or" is correct in french.
(and despite the fact that french is my native language, it still sound posh ;) )
Mais j'habite à côté de la frontière avec la France.
Et toi ?
What do you mean by "nuit d'au"?
It should be "nuit d'eau" isn't it?
Merci beaucoup, thank you!
