MSI Build Your Dream PC Guide - 'Black and White (Red isn't me)'

'Black and White (Red isn't me)' by Class377fcc12

I want to give thanks to everyone who upvoted and commented on my build. I am stunned, we got to page 4! This build wouldn't have got there without you guys' support. Thank you.

I love MSI. They are by far my favorite PC part manufacturer. There GPUs are not rivaled, and their motherboards are just plain awesome.

Why I chose the parts:

Intel i5-6600K - I chose the I5 as it is a great CPU for gaming and I don't need the hyperthreading as I would only use this system for gaming.

be quiet! Dark Rock 3 - The Dark Rock 3 is an awesome cooler. End of.

MSI Z170A Gaming Pro Carbon - The RGB lighting really sets it apart from other boards and I think it is very well priced. Also, as I said above, I love MSI motherboards.

16GB Corsair Vengeance LPX - I really like this RAM. I have used the DDR3 variant, and absolutely loved it.

WD Red HDD 80GB - You need a HDD in the parts to enter so...

MSI GTX 980 Ti - 3 reasons: 1, it is a 980 Ti, 2, it is black and white, 3, it is made by MSI.

Corsair Carbide 400C - A plain, simple case with some nice features, and I love Corsair's style.

EVGA NEX Supernova 750W - It is 80+ Gold rated, it is fully modular, and it's also decent looking.

I hope you like my build, even if I don't win. It will definitely not be the most powerful system, but everything matches and that is what I like in a build.

Reason for edit: could get SLI if downgrading other components.

Compatibility: No issues or incompatibilities found.

Why did you decided to cheap out on the HDD for another 980TI? :P Still giving this a +1

Check out my build if you would like to!

I would be using storage from my current PC, but storage is a requirement to enter.

It doesn't hurt you if you have more storage.

Adding more storage would push me past the $2000 limit. Anyway, I already have a 1tb Samsung 850 EVO and two 2tb WD Black drives, so storage isn't a problem. Here is a link: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/guide/wzCmP6/my-pc

Nice balancing of budget to grab 2 980tis and quality components. Cheaping out on the storage was the right move, especially if you already have some storage.
