Yes I know, but it's also 144hz. I don't enable free sync because I don't need it. I got it because it's 144hz, IPS, and 4ms response time for a good price.

Thanks. I was really debating on which one to go for. I actually had put in a preorder for the 1700X, but ultimately settled for the 6800K. It was an okay deal when bundled with the X99 mobo. After seeing Ryzen I can say I have no regrets.
