It's certainly faster than any of my friend's hard drives. Now I've experienced Windows 10 loading in 8 seconds (my BIOS has a setting called 'ultra fast boot' which helped with this), I can't go back.

This one I wish I did more research on. It doesn't say on pcpartpicker, but this is a QLC ssd. It's (technically) faster than a TLC or MLC ssd, but will last nearly a tenth as long. It won't be reliable in the long run and you shouldn't use it as your boot drive forever. Concerning the speed of the drive, you only get the advertised speed when there is space in the cache, which is tied directly to the amount of space left on the drive, which means the more there is on the drive, the quicker it will drop to write/read speeds comparable to an HDD. If I could redo this build, I'd spend $50 or so more and get at least a TLC ssd from the start.

Incredible value for money. Boot times under 10 seconds with Ubuntu 18.04.
