The placement of the m.2 slot on the MSI 970A is horrible to be honest. Right below the heatsink for the GPU slot? really? Who thought that was a good idea? Avg of 55C on the m.2 drive... Wow. Besides that, it runs fantastic. Super fast read/write speeds, and its held up under the heat so far.

Used for my OS and believe me I didn't make a mistake doing that. It is amazingly fast. It booted up in 10 seconds a lot faster than my old build using an SSD. Definitely worth the price. If you will be using it for programs and files I suggest a higher capacity M.2 depending on what your needs are for mine 120GB was enough.
