I had decided on a 6GB 1060 ever since I started plannig the build. Where I live EVGA gpu's are cheaper than Asus, Gigabyte or MSI, and it matched my build. I wanted to get the one with the ACX 3.0 cooler, but it was out of stock everywhere I looked, also I got this one for much cheaper. It runs great, I don't need anything more powerful for a 60Hz 1080p monitor.

I picked this GPU from a guy for $190. Great GPU for 1080P gaming

The stock cooler on this GPU was simply a copper slug with aluminum fins, it was in no way adequate for the amount of heat this GPU produced, Thermal throttling after seconds even at stock speeds. However, once water cooled, this card had great potential at overclocking. Two out of four stars, because most people will not water cool this card, I would reccomend buying virtually any other card on the market other than this one if you buying a GTX 1060.

Quiet, good looking, neutral color, cool temps, eats games for breakfast. Why haven't you bought it yet?
I guess if I had to complain, having 6-Pin VGA is just annoying because it adds more cable bulk than even an 8-Pin. The VGA cable is always configured as 6+2, so having an 8-pin connection holds the cables closer together. But the 1060 is efficient enough to only need a 6 and a twist-tie or two fixes the cable issue so its fine.

You can run any AAA+ title on ultra 60+ fps. Under full load using the stock fan curve it runs a little hot so you will need to adjust it. You cannot even hear the fan till it reaches about 60% speed. 100% speed isn't that loud but keeps my card around 71C under full after 3 hours of playing PUBG on ultra around 50-70 FPS.

This little card packs a punch! It feels so great being able to turn every game up to ultra settings. Plan to use this for VR in the future.

from completed build My First PC Build! Galaxy
This was a HUGE upgrade from the Intel HD Graphics 4000 Mobile in my Mom's 2012 MacBook Pro. Paired with an i5-8400 and 8GB of RAM, I managed to get 150+fps in Overwatch on Ultra Settings, fully utilizing my 1080p 144hz monitor. Only problem is that it gets to 81C, but I looked it up and that seems to be normal for SFF (small form factor) GPUs.
