from completed build Overkill? What's that?

Another such thing; I got the CPU right March 2nd, the mobo however... different story... it arrived on april 1st. Other than that it's great, looks amazing, works flawlessly (even the RAM runs at 2933 with F3b BIOS) and it of course has a ton of RGB lighting - what else...

Looks great and after the new beta BIOS with the Agesa microcode my memory was able to reach stable 3200MHz. Higher than that and it wouldn't boot but I am positive that will be sorted out.

The most completed mobo for AM4 socket it have tons of features for not so much money, dual bios, dual lan, dual audio, dual USB, many RGB lights, great quality even the box feels so premium. I see it way better then the offering from asus ROG Crosshair that have only a slight better OC, and not much futures, and higher price... One star less because of the poor/small VRM heatsink, and no pipe there, a fan there is the fix.

I am growing to like this board more and more. It has a plethora of features and slots. The BIOS is pretty easy to understand , dual bios is nice (as I crashed my main BIOS by accidentally messing up my overclock), and the LED's are much nicer than I had originally anticipated. The error code at the bottom is quite helpful though some codes aren't particularly helpful in pinpointing issues. The included audio is pretty great. There is no on-board Wifi, but it's alright considering everything else the board does have. The fan headers are all hybrid which is also a plus for PWM fan set-ups. I would appreciate it if the RGB Fusion program did a better job of controlling the LEDs however. I thought I would be able to control specific LEDs via the program, but everything changes at once regardless of what I select.

Brilliant Mobo, also looks quality and good RGB! The BIOS switch was a life saver!

My previous motherboard was also from Gigabyte (GA-EP45-UD3R), and I bought this largely based on the trouble-free experience I had with that. I love having dual BIOS as a safety net, and the various ultra-durable manufacturing features fit well with my plan to squeeze many years out of this system. My one complaint would be that auto voltages can be slightly aggressive, and also vary a lot with BIOS version. Not too hard to pin those down manually, though.

Awesome Motherboard. This thing has tons of features. Lots of fan headers, RGB for days and lots of options for adding in storage and add in cards.

Great motherboard, I did have a slight problem with the BIOS update, that and the first bios not recognize windows, thank god for Dual BIOS

Buts just as a side not I absolutely HATE the I/O Shield why the hell does it have to be shiny, just make it a nice black, so i'm 99.9% sure i'm going to paint that I/O Shield

from completed build Corsair/Ryzen Build

I would've given this a 5 star rating... but it just doesn't deserve it. They decided to slap the only m2 slot on this board directly under the top pci express slot where everyone would obviously be mounting their GPU. This adds a solid 10c to my nvme drive temp forcing me to run my GPU fan at a minimum of 40% to pull heat away at all times. A heat sink for the drive may help some but not sure it would even fit sitting under a GPU.

My RGB lighting on the board has actually gone wonky after almost a year as well. 80% of the RGB color pallet no longer works correctly and the lights are half as bright. I may have to consider a different manufacturer for my next build.
