Looks sick? check. Performs well? check. Dead silent? check. Reliable? check. Thanks for chromax Noctua, sincerely, everyone.

Was having a very tough time deciding on what cooler to use, I only knew I wanted air cooling. Can no longe stand the complexity and general pump hum from AIOs, although I do like, in general, AIO aesthetic more.... and all of a sudden... Linus video on Noctuas black-out coolers popped in my Youtube feed... Godsend. Ordered a U12S immediately, got a Linus Edition. Keeping the 3700X at ~70C with Prime while dead silent. Can't ask for more. Painted the top fin white to better fit the white/black theme, I think it ended up looking perfect.

very happy with this small little cooler. considering its size i find it impressive that my load temps only go to 72C max...

An excellent cooler, and the chromax black is a perfect match for the dark theme of my build. This cooler is very quiet, and built like it'll last forever.

To bring loaded CPU temps down into the 60's, I added a second Noctua fan to get a push-pull setup. This made a five degree difference -- 70 to 65C while running "stress CPU" on CPU-Z -- but the price of that second fan means the final cost was $100. Could have got an NH-U12A for that price, but the 12A does not come in black so I probably made the right choice.

First time using an aftermarket cooler and had some minor difficulties in installing. Temps are quite hotter than expected but still okay. Maybe the weather back here is a factor, will test as time goes by. Also, this one is really quiet! Overall, really happy with my first experience with Noctua products.

Sleek and gets the job done. Max temp I have seen is 72 in a stress test.

Amazing cooler to help keeping the CPU temperature down. The black finish is a huge bonus.

Very nice cooler, as expected from Noctua, I like the overall coating of the paint, saw no chips or imperfections.

ALL BLACK! Easy to install. Has a fantastic reputation to keep that 3600X cool. That sucker runs hot! Have played several hours of Skyrim, Borderlands 3, No Man's Sky. CPU average temp only gets to 58 C. not bad!

This one-fan cooler is actually very good quality, and works well enough, but at $69.99 it's very over-priced without a 2nd fan. There are one-fan coolers that do the job for cheaper. This cooler is much more effective with an additional fan—which if bought from Noctua runs another $22+. And that puts it in the range of the D15, which already comes with two fans and is a more effective cooler.

Noctua also charges $10 more for the privilege of not being forced to use their tremendously ugly beige/brown fan color scheme.

At least Noctua finally got a clue that overcoming their obsession with ugly colors for the sake of "being different" will sell more product.

So 5 stars for good quality, and -2 stars for price gouging.
