Endgame CPU on AM4 platform for gaming

from completed build AM4 Daily Driver [2024]

An all-around absolute beast of a CPU. This one will almost definitely be the CPU equivalent of the GTX 1080 Ti, the way it will probably never start showing its age.

One of the best CPUs for gaming, only complaint is performance in emulators like RPCS3.

from completed build Top of the line AM4

Top of the line gaming chip for any and all AM4 builds if you stick to upgrading your AM4 pc's get this cpu! If you are starting a new build go with an AM5 I'd suggest the 7600X it's got a higher clock speed than the 5800x3d but the 5800x3d beats it in gaming by a slight margin.

It's an absolute beast of a CPU in 2024. It might even last me another 3 more years or so. You can keep that beast cool with the correct PBO, Curve Optimizer settings and Cooler.

Insanely powerful CPU that handles all tasks thrown at it.

Fantastic drop in CPU upgrade for AM4 boards. Exceptional performance, blew me away upgrading from a 3600 and will work with any old AM4 motherboard with a latest bios update. Outstanding!

Update; set PBO2 to -50 ALL core and it runs even quieter and faster now!

This is THE endgame CPU if you have a gaming centric PC on the AM4 platform.

Sips power, easy to cool, nice and stable, and the boatloads of cache work wonders. If you wanted a PC more for work, a non V-Cache Ryzen 9 would make more sense as its lower clock speed holds it back in scenarios where lots of cache is less useful.

Still, there's a reason why this CPU has the reputation that it does: it was and still very much is a monster!

Great CPU, especially when undervolted. Decided to go with AM4 since I got a a really good deal with a CPU/mobo combo from Microcenter.

Managed to get -30 with all cores using Curve Optimizer, making it run faster and cooler.

CPU that will last me years to come. Especially with the new XT models coming through. Long live AM4.
