from completed build Meshify Mini C for all round fun

A bit of a limited choice in mATX boards it seems but research pointed in the direction of this one due to apparently better VRMs than those of comparable Asus and Gigabyte ones. Bonus of 4 PWM headers (5 if you count the pump) conveniently spaced around the edges. Inbuilt bit of RGB silly, but fine if you like that sort of thing.

Only annoyance was that the Shipped BIOS had to be updated before Windows could be installed. Turns out MSI boards need these for anything past build 1809, and of course Windows didn’t give you any help in figuring this out, my trusty Linux USB stick revealed the problem and thankfully you can use the M-Flash option from the BIOS to update itself.

Love this motherboard, everything I could ask for plus a bit of RGB without being ridiculously expensive. The included wifi + bluetooth is nice too.

This motherboard is the most attractive and full-featured choice for Micro ATX that I could find. While the RGB is quite attractive in the case, it was not by any means its best feature. I appreciated the included wireless and Bluetooth functionality, USB Type-C support, and M.2 support. The BIOS was easy to work with as well.

Motherboard - MSI Z390M - I wanted wifi built in so choices werent that many for matx. Initial windows install was HEADACHE FREE. Ties everything great, bios is great, updated bios easily. It pointed out the recommended slots after i installled the DIMMS in sub optimal config. I powered it for a test before completion of install and "uhh its glowing like ground effects!" was my newb reaction, happily surprised it has RGB lights on it, oh yea mystic lighting. I think i need help with the audio tho, had some problems with Discord, guess windows default drivers didnt like it, fixed with audio driver download from MSI site. - Happy with it, but somewhat pricey.

A wonderful board filled with features. An additional 4-pin connector is an awesome option for overclocking. The RGB is subtle but a nice feature.

from completed build Meshify Chrome Box - Gaming / ML

As I want to add a second GPU in the future, this is one of the limited choice I have (2x16 PCIe slots). According to some reviews I found online, this is the fairly best mATX mobo I can have. Built-in Wi-fi and Bluetooth makes things much easier.

killer board but missing jcorsair header for corsair RGB compatibility. headers are placed well for case management. not many options for z390m boards, Its expensive too.

Pretty, easy to build on, plenty of fan headers.

from completed build My First PC (RGB is Lit)

This board is a bit expensive in my opinion for what you get. Has plenty of excellent audio capability but I was somewhat disappointed with Mystic Light's functionality. Near the CPU socket, there are a few components that are raised somewhat high off the board near the IO and I've had trouble with my low profile CPU cooler installation, but I would attribute that more to the fan than the board. Other than that, this board is really nice and I would be happy to recommend it.
