BIG CURIOSITY in many builds.

WEBMASTERS-TEAM

I realise, that the main purpose of this site,is to help people with anything has to do with computer builds, and exchange information, experiences, troubleshooting information, and sometimes-if we are lucky enough-make some good and useful friends.

I realise also, that most of the times, the PC builds were being proposed,or already built, are ALMOST decent, because we can see what motherboard they use, what CPU,what GPU,RAM kits,PSU,Cases,Monitors,and-generally-most of the needed parts.

But i wrote IN PURPOSE the word "ALMOST" ... was not something wrong from me = I do not want to seem impolite or rude,or disrespectful, but in MANY builds,we do not see some other parts that already being used,or they are intending to use,and i consider that also "ALMOST A MISTAKE",and that thing afford to everyone (I am not exclude myself) that claims his "build" is COMPLETE ! ...

"COMPLETE",is an Absolute Word, with an Absolute Meaning ...

What i am trying to say,is that i consider someone,in order to use such a word, must upload ANY part that has been used,or he-she is intending to use,[especially those ones that do not included as "extra" inside other parts, such as cable cord for PSU,GPU brackets,Motherboard risers, the various cables included inside a new Fully Modular PSU,etc etc ..)

An example:

motherboard = * , cpu = * , ram = * , storage = * , psu = * , PSU CABLES EXTENDERS = * ( Especially in Big Cases, that we want to route them better,or the cables length does not suffice for some connections) Power Splitter for 6 Fans = * , (In some occasions this needed ) Mouse = * , (Many people ignore that) Keyboard = * , (Many people ignore that) Monitor = * , (Many people ignore that) OS = * , (Many people ignore that, and in many new build proposals, this is a MUST HAVE,if someone denies that,is another matter) Thermal Compound = * , (as a better one in specifications, also many people ignore that)

[There are many more examples, for obvious reasons cannot include all of them]

But THIS is not the worst ...

The worst IS that-especially in monitor nonreferral-in NEW PC Build Proposals, the Price Limitation is outbusted easily,if for example, someone is put limit to 1000 dollars, and we upload a Build that the total cost is 980 $ WITHOUT Monitor, that would seem impolite to the interested person, and as a inconsistency ... (Almost) noone will use a PC without Monitor, the price limit must include ALL needed parts+necessary extra additions+Monitor) ...

Maybe i am wrong on all those, but at least seems Practical and Consistent, and inspire Trust ...

Thanks in Advance, for your Patience, expecting response from all if possible.

Its your fault if you don't ask for everything you need. There are guidelines for a reason. If you choose to ignore it that is on you and I'm sure as not going to try asking you since 99% of the time it is like pulling teeth out of people. I've been doing for years now and it is always the same. If OP didn't use the guidelines good luck getting information out of them.

...i see your point ... you are speaking to me,but you meant in real "for everyone don`t ask for everything he-she needs" ...

I also did not wanted, and also do not want to seem as a "site judge",that was never, and also that is not my intention anyway,i recognise all the good work and all the usefulness that has been produced in this site,by site moderators and from ALL people here in general, with small or big role with their participation or their presence ...

I also do not seek for excuses, only because i TRULY believe in Useful Practicality.(In any form)

That means - for example - if some people want to put a PSU inside their Tower, especially to a full size one,WITHOUT knowing the internal cables length that this specific PSU has,MAY have some SERIOUS issues,to connect various parts inside their Tower, from internal cables length insufficiency (shorter),OR from bad routing of them inside Tower, and that especially may disturb the good airflow, make sightseeing inside tower "ugly",or the worst = leave some parts un-connected ... IF ONLY they knew from before, the PSU internal cables length, some people would have saved "working hours",even from buying an appropriate PSU -not only in Wattage - for the purpose in the first place,OR would have never got in trouble trying to buy in another time, bigger in length internal cables especially to Semi-Modular or Fully Modular ones,or buying also in another time, some internal cables extenders,to improve cable routing or just make the various connections possible ...IF you do not believe me,i will show you 2 links-only as a referral and not as advertising-about the matter, those are two of the many = https://www.anandtech.com/show/2697/40 ,and another one also = https://www.anandtech.com/Show/Index/2395?cPage=3&all=False&sort=0&page=11&slug=

I believe,in that matter, that i am obliged to tell to the others-when they ask me-if a PSU is suitable for their needs, not only in Wattage,or from available outlets, but also in cables length, for not accusing me in future for many things, and make their life easier, without make them spend extra time or extra money to find a solution or improvement ....

That was only 1 Matter ... i do not want to be extended with another Matters,Useful Practicality is familiar also to many of you,you may realise other matters ... would seem wrong make the others ask me or you,for such matter as i prescribed, that must have been never happened in the first place ...

Maybe i am also wrong in this Matter ... at least in my eyes, does not seem wrong ...

Cable length is mostly irrelevant now since most builds are in mid tower cases and outside of SFX PSU's no PSU should run into cable length issues.

Funny that you said almost no one uses a monitor, when most of my builds i have listed are headless units (no monitor) I see your point, but the good part about this time, is it allows people to have the option to not include what they dont want to include.

"(almost) noone will use a PC without Monitor",as i already said, means that = with the absence of a Monitor,it is pointless of using a PC ... of course, there are some "VR Headsets",or many specialised adaptors or HDMI connectors,or Displayport to HDMI cables,to connect to a TV the PC,but those "solutions" are not exactly appropriate solutions, because they are not dedicated for PC use in permanent basis, that was the reason for using in this matter the word "ALMOST" ...

I also recognise your argument, that it is NOT WRONG ... because people must have some personal perspective of view,in those matter,to choose some parts alone, and this sounds also good, only because different people have different demandings of use ... we cannot predict everything .

At least, the main "goal" was to emphasize people, especially newcomers in PC technology, first time ever [or with small experience, such as notebook or laptop first-time ever users] that the "complete" build is NOT a truly final build in terms of cost,OR at least make an honest effort,to give them a Truly Complete Build Proposal,in order to make them feel that we recognise the necessity demandings, and their Balance, their Wallet final cost.

Otherwise we will only make to them a first good impression, and after they realise, that they have to spend more than they already afforded, will abandon us ! ...

Do not judge me strictly Guys and Girls ... we HAVE TO put ourselves for a while at least,in THEIR place,to make them feel SAFE,and make them also feel confident ... in Technology Matters-and not only ...
