Would anyone be able to recommend a laptop. It's to replace my father's old Packard Bell, which, whilst it runs fine, would still be worth seeing him use something a little faster and is a little more up to date!
We're UK based and have a budget of £200-£300 (can stretch to £350 if needs be).
He generally uses it for all the basic stuff such as Youtube, emails, surfing the web, storing documents/family photos and the like. He does have a tendency to run his guitar/amps/effects pedals through either that or his old tower, so this would be a nice feature but not completely necessary.
OS wise, either 7 (which I'm aware support is going to be limited or stopped in Jan next year) or 10. Laptop build has to be of general reliability i.e. not going to overheat/freeze when in use. Touch screen and finger print reader are not a necessary. Optical drive would be a nice feature, but I can always purchase an external one if he needs it.
Any help is hugely appreciated!
