I'd like to hear anyone's opinion on whether this build is good, if there are alternate recommendations etc.

I've used laptops this far, so i need a monitor and wireless network adaptor with this build.

For a bit more you might up the monitor refresh rate to 144Hz and move to the 1660 TI, which will give a decent bump over the RX 590. But what's there isn't bad at all. You can probably run most games at 75fps with an RX 580; the 590 is in a bit of a tough spot at the moment.
