Built my personal pc a few months back, then decided the wife needed a pc as well. This is more than she will ever need and I am very pleased with the way it turned out.
Nice. Your wife is a lucky woman.
She really likes it, but now that I swapped mine into the lancool ii case she hates the nzxt case. It’s actually pink. Looks pretty red in the pics
With a 550w PSU are you seeing any issues with the GPU power throttling? That card recommends a 600w min but not sure the 50w makes a difference.
Not OP, but GPU makers always recommend overspec to be safe since there's a lot of bad PSUs out there. Also, the estimated wattage (479w) is peak power draw - on average it will be lower than that even under load. As long as it's a good quality unit, 550w is fine.
Thanks for your comment. These are things that need to be changed from the manufacturer side because if you reach out to them on power throttling questions the first thing they ask is what wattage PSU do you have. So misleading.
I haven’t noticed anything yet. I still haven’t taken out of the low power bios setting. When I got it amd had released the new 2020 driver update and it had major issues and I thought it was a bios problem. Had major stuttering issues. But there is really no reason to change it. With a 1440p 144hz monitor she’s already pushing over 180fps on modern warfare
Looks nice. Does your wife know how much it cost?
Oh yea, she knows. I tried to get rid of the rainbow vomit but she likes it. Also the gskill software created problems with some anticheat programs. I had heard of it before but saw it first hand.
Thanks. The I have a similar build with a 3700x and a 2080super. This 5700xt outperforms the 2080super in some titles. It’s insane how good they are
