Description

This PC is basically the culmination of spare parts and miscellaneous parts. This PC originally had a Pentium 4 630, 2gb of DDR RAM, an 80GB HDD, and a GT 120. I had gotten the board, CPU, and cooler off a friend for cheap. I had the ram, and HDD left over from prior projects. The iGPU on the mobo was garbage, so I kept the GT 120 (Rebranded 9500GT) in this build. Another noteworthy part of this build is that the fan headers just straight up don't work. So with molex adapters to rescue, everything was back to normal. Albeit the entire PC sounds like a ******* jet engine 24/7.

I mean for what it is it's a decent PC for general web browsing, I definitely wouldn't want to try and push frames or pixels with this thing. But overall it's a damn good PC for what it is.

Me too. Reminds me of the good old days when I used to open up any pc I could find and geek out. People looked at me like I was such a nerd!

If memory serves correct that dual core maybe a working 4 core with just 2 cores locked. I've had mixed results but it's worth a shot.

Nah, the 255 is a native dual core. Trust me I've spent way too much time trying to unlock cores that don't exist lol

The GPU is the jet engine, those small fans are terrible.

Nope, the GPU fan ran pretty well. The other fans were all running off of molex due to the motherboard's fan headers not working.

The HDD is actually mounted on the inside area facing the backside of the case. It's a 2.5" drive. It's most visible in the 4th pic close to the cables that run from the motherboard. Also thank you!
