Part Reviews
CPU
8c/16t beast of a CPU. Basically an unbinned 1800x, truly the silicon lottery when you get this.
CPU Cooler
Keeps the CPU nice and cool, even when overclocked. The stock AM4 cooler was sufficient but I idle closer to ambient now and I can overclock slightly higher.
Thermal Compound
If it's available, buy the 11g version. You can never have enough Kryonaut.
Motherboard
Pros:
- Stable board and good RAM support.
- Consistent BIOS updates.
- Not too flashy.
Cons:
- No BCLK/Reference clock option.
- Limited I/O ports on motherboard vs higher-priced option.
- Can't POST w/ high RAM speeds when populating 4 DIMMs.
Memory
Single rank, binned RAM. With pretty colors.
Storage
Fast boot medium. I store anything I need to access instantly here and my large archives of data on my HDD.
Storage
T H I C C platter density. Helium sealed.
Video Card
Great card, runs super cool and quiet too.
Power Supply
Future-proofing until we get portable nuclear reactors for over 100% power efficiency.
Monitor
Super smooth and decent colors. Great resolution.
Monitor
Good monitor with good colors.
Wish it had a faster refresh rate but you get what you pay for.
Mouse
A mouse doesn't make the player, but it certainly helps A LOT.
Love the grip/aesthetics/features.
Headphones
Amazing headset for the sale price it usually goes for ($35-40).
Speakers
I had to set my equalizer to turn the bass down so I could hear people speak in movies.
