I just finished building a new PC for myself(posting soon) and I am totally addicted to the art of custom building. So I decided to put together a build for my wife. Asked her what color she wanted and just went from there.

I wanted to play around with some AMD over clocking so was a easy choice on the chip. PC will mostly be used for daily surfing, blogging, watching videos, storing and editing photos. Future plans will be some video editing and recording.

I over clocked the AMD Chip to a stable 4.5ghz with a very tiny voltage increase. Didn't want any heat issues, or excessive fan noise.

Case NZXT S340 was a very easy case to build in. The blue looks good, and matches most any computer blue components.

I really dig the Sapphire Vapor-X, matches great even though you can't really see it lol. I have a custom backplate coming for it so will add images later.

The Black/Blue Cable extensions made life easier and look good.

Simple, Inexpensive, Blue and kept me busy building another PC!

CPU

AMD FX-6300 3.5 GHz 6-Core Processor

Excellent Overclocking Chip. Easy, Stable and Cool 4.5ghz without much trouble. For the build I am using it in, so far its perfect

CPU Cooler

Enermax ETS-T40F-BK 75.98 CFM CPU Cooler

Bought it for the Blue LED, Pretty quite, Cooling is good. Mounting was a bit strange. Seemed like the Combo of AMD, Case and Mobo didn't work very well with this cooler

Motherboard

MSI 970A-G43 Plus ATX AM3+/AM3 Motherboard

Solid Board, not many bells or whistles but has everything you need. Bios is very simple and easy to use. Took the Overclock like a champ

Memory

Kingston HyperX Fury Blue 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

Kingston rocks. No fancy heatsinks, reliable and blue

Storage

Crucial MX200 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive

Needed some storage, had blue in it. Crucial always a safe buy.

Storage

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Just a solid deal all the way around for storage.

Video Card

Sapphire Radeon R7 370 4 GB Vapor-X Video Card

I haven't really tested out the GPU much yet since I doubt my wife wants me to game on her PC but for the price, the look, small over clock seems like a solid deal for an older card. I dig AMD and this gave me a chance to try out some products I would't normally buy.

Cooling so far seems excellent, runs silent, Windows 10 drivers worked with no issue.

Case

NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case

Case was excellent to build in, looks great, lots of room. Good choice if on a budget

Power Supply

Corsair CXM 550 W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply

This is a great buy for a simple rig. Cable extensions help a lot but not needed. The included cables are a bit stiff but the power is good.

Case Fan

Corsair CO-9050015-BLED 52.19 CFM 120 mm Fan

There blue, mediocre performance/noise

Great build. I hate AMD but at this budget, it's complete 1080p slaughter. The i3-6100 would have been more optimal for gaming but maybe your wife does other things too? 8-)

As for overall layout and build appearance, it's a major +1. I would +10 it if I could honestly. The PSU shroud the S340 comes with is beautiful and the sleeved cables bring it all together. The only thing I'd change is probably the configuration of the heatsink. I know that it pulls heat off of the GPU and exhausts through the top but it looks funky :P.

Thank you! NZXT did it right with there PSU shroud for sure. I actually tried to get it to face the ram but for whatever reason it just wouldn't mount right. The AMD install for that Cooler seemed a bit weird.

nice! my previous build was with a fx6300 and a g43 mobo. one thing to keep in mind with that board is air flow. i dont think you will have that problem with that case but i was getting real high temps across my mobo if i turned the fans down. its just something to keep a eye on. +1

Nice looking build Hope you enjoy. That GPU is a work horse, I have had two of the older version (7850's) and they are just fine for some light gaming at 1080. Looks like a good bang for buck build. +1

Instead of the Enermax cooler I would get the coolermaster hyper 212 evo its cheaper and much more effective. other than that this is a great build

Thanks! I would agree, I went fancy on the Enermax for the LED but honestly it wasn't worth it. If I ever have to upgrade, I'll swap it out

Oh, definitely go with some cable combs. You could get a nice black and blue back plate for that gpu, too

Slick build for sure. I hear ya on the cooler. I do a lot of AMD FX builds and I try to only pick coolers I can use that mount horizontal. Solid parts overall. Are those the prices you paid?

Thanks man I got a combo kit from Newegg for $247 CPU Hard drive Ram and Motherboard Video card was $129 I had the SSD already Everything else is about right

The AMD brackets were tough to mount it horizontal, required lots of pressure so I mounted it vertical. As far as function it is still working just fine

I'm just wondering but Shave the same board with a 4350 and my board and CPU get a little hot and was going to upgrade to an 8350 or 6300 like yours but I heard that the board could not handle the voltage can you tell me what you have your overclocked voltage at.
