Description

I Had the components of this PC for a while. Almost two years since I built this PC for the first time, I just got this case Q300l. It does not look like an upgrade from my previous case HUMMER MC since it's much cheaper and also only supports micro ATX, but I wanted something smaller and low profile since I use my PC mostly for work and little light gaming, that's why I have the GTX 1060 6GB card instead of something better. I also got the i7 7700k since it's great for multitasking and workstation work. So far this build was amazing I was thinking of upgrading the RAM but I think 16Go is enough for my needs right now. Also a side note everyone says this case does not support the Hyper 212 Evo cooler but it does...

Change that motherboard to a Z and get a better cooler and you got a winner

The hyper 212 is adequate for a 4 core 7700k. Unless you overclock it, then I would agree, get a better cooler.

The 212 cooler is fine if he doesn't OC, but you're correct, that motherboard needs to be changed ASAP.

what motherboard do you recommend?

I personally prefer MSI and Asus. Even Asrock. Always had terrible luck with Gigabyte. I personally would buy any MSI z270

The motherboard is of course something you'll want to upgrade as some people before me have mentioned.

My advice: Get a mousepad first. Your desk and mouse will thank you in a few months time.

I have a mouse pad and it wasn't on my desk when I took these pics! will be looking for a good MB for my next upgrade.

Was the 212 touching the side panel or did you have 1mm or so of clearance?
