Description

Firstly, I have wanting join PCMR for just over a year, Have been saving for a rig, This is my first build, i mainly use the PC for gaming and browsing, It plays most games ultra 60+ Fps To date the computer does everything i wanted it too and more.

The build went very well, however the only issue i encountered were that 2 of the 9 stand off's really did not want to tighten leaving them loose, however we moved ensuring the motherboard was secure in doing so, as for the 400c it is a lovely case to build in, with a nice acrylic side panel to show of the components. also cable management was easy with it.

GPU - This card is not only aesthetically pleasing with its LED's on the side which look amazing, it chews through anything i throw at it whilst remaining relatively quiet and efficient.

GPU UPDATE - RMA'd my 970 and they sent me a 980, props to Evga for amazing customer service

CPU - Awesome CPU, stock it was great however i wanted to add some extra horsepower so i over clocked it to 4.4GHZ giving me a slight performance increase.

Overall, The build went smoothly and all the parts look great together in my red and black colour scheme, i have just ordered NZXT HUE+ to top it off.

also I'm a bit nervous about installing the cpu. Doesn't fit perfect or is there a little wiggle room?

All you need is a still hand, as long as the two triangles on the cpu and socket line up you will be fine! the board basically does the securing for you with the retention arms, just watch one of linus' guides - i used this for the motherboard side of things.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk45njIUvH0

Nice looking build. Nothing too over the top, just a practical, minimalistic build.
