Description

Gone in 60 seconds GT 500 Eleanor Build. Worked on this off and on when I could. Took about a year to actually complete it (that's why some of the hardware is last gen). Custom paint using the actual Pepper gray of the original GT 500.

You know, this is just one thing that bridges the gap between PC enthusiasts, and car guys. And for being both, I really love this.

Thank you! That was the other reason it took me so long to complete this (I had a car project going on at the same time lol).

One of my favorite movies, so ofcourse i like this build.

I now some won't agree, but i feel it is some of Nicolas Cage's best work. Outstanding chase scene and just so many things i liked about the movie. As for the build, it makes me want to run out and get a 1967 GT500 right now. It might be slightly out of my price range.

Sick build! Skills waaayyyy above mine lol, a cool build would be like a Sn-99 Cobra Terminator build. Maybe not as cool as good ol Eleanor but would be a great theme to build around!

Thanks! I think my next build will be for the wife. Where did you get that keyboard for the GF build you did?

  • 2 points

They're custom keycaps from wasdkeyboards.com. Pretty good quality (wish they were PBT coated, though) and for a somewhat reasonable price. Costs about 45 bucks for a tenkeyless set and 50 for a full size. They're compatible with any Cherry profile switch so it's easy to swap 'em out on a bunch of keyboards. Ah, and her spacebar came from an Ebay seller for a couple bucks. We both went with Ducky keyboards if you're curious about the boards themselves and familiar with the brand. I don't like flimsy, cheap junk and I've gotta say Ducky makes some of the most rigid and durable keyboards I've come across.

Here's a pic' of the one I used for my Ryzen build too: https://imgur.com/a/ZlEwEoo

They are Aquacomputer rads. Don’t know if I’d recommend them because they have this weird way to attach the fans, but they look the part and function great.

If only there was a way to set up an actual N2O system that would cool the CPU at the press of button for that added boost of power during GTA. Do I hear gears turning...
