Description

So, this is my build. Honesty here, I didn't build it. I researched it up, decided what I wanted, and put it through cyberpower pc's ryzen 7 configuration, and it came out cheaper from them! To be fair, I have taken it all apart and put it back since then, it arrived with the gpu doa, which is why you see the gtx 750ti in there rather than the rx 580, which is in rma process and will be in soon hopefully. I had to troubleshoot a bit, and find a gpu lying around, but that's a risk of ordering prebuilt....and from diy as well.

Anyway, it's up and running beautifully, haven't put it through its paces yet, but it's working superb for my day to day usage, and the wiring and works ship looks pretty good as well. Of course the hidden wires are a bit stuffed in, and the motherboard set up wasn't terribly optimal, but no complaints. My wife even likes it, and she barely tolerates most of my eletronophilia. And, as I said, it was slightly cheaper assembled than it would be if I ordered the parts....especially when you add the freebies.

Where did you get the cooler?

I got to pick my cooler on cyberpower, which is convenient because I wanted a wraith, and they're 65 on the market. Switching to it actually saved me $10 over the cyberpower water cooler, and it's reputed to be junk.

What do you use it for?

Multimedia, mostly. Pcs in my house are media centers, each attached to a t.v., avr, etc. I like gaming, shadow of war, witcher 3, original sin 2, and we stream, music, etc. I certainly didn't need the ryzen 1800x but the price difference was negligible. Also, cyberpowers ram didn't go above 2400 with their ryzen pcs for some weird reason, so I just slotted the least as I'll be getting 16g of the tritonzrgb. But I do figure the 16 threads will help with the dozens of tabs and programs my wife likes to leave open.

Somehow the situation is rather familiar. :D

I should add, my total was $1175 from cyberpower, but I did add 3 day shipping, so it came to 1230 shipped.
