ive had this build for about a year, your see from the pics that it was once just very simple, and once you get into pc's,you all know it grows, more on some than others, but with all the custom loops I see,i had to make one,and ill redo this one again after it needs new fluid now that I got the bending down, mainly thou with this pc I game, lots of FPS,s,still playing skyrim with lots of mods for fun, lots of the Clancy games, its my main source of tv/movies even thou I work for Directv and have every thing and highest package free,i just hate regular tv.lol.i forgot to order one part that left me from setting up my drain port, and I still need to drill hole in top to put the fill port in.so,tell me what ya think and feel free to leave any kind of comments, just remember this has been upgraded 4 times now and not done yet!!! I'm adding the X34 to my set up next, its getting cheaper now a days and the 1070 I have now can do the 1440p with no problems, this is OC,ed to a mild 4.4@1.21 and stable, sits at 33C with all fan and pump at 40%,i like it quiet,i may eventually get the PWM pump outta here and go with the EK-D5 Vario Motor (12V DC Pump Motor) so I can just set it on 2-3 and not have to worry about it going up and down, ive messed with the pump settings thru bios so much and it seems no matter what I do it just gets a little bit louder than id like and the dead silent over and over....ill keep messing and maybe stick with it,im going to redo a lot of the bends later on,just wanted to get it as decent as I could without running outta tube, got 3 packs left so thatll be for the next time and got some extra degree fitting I can throw in to make different runs in the tubing.hope ya guys think I did okay for first watercool, just went with hardline even thou everyoine said to do soft tubing first, its not that hard, anyone wanting to do a custom loop just go with it,even if ya mess a bent up,if ya get good with the gun ya can make your tube straight again,i did it on like 3 of them.cheers guys:)!!! pics 1-9 are the new addition, ones beyond that is the 2nd upgrade, you can see original in my completed builds under red menace build.hope you enjoy!!

Great build! But two comments: 1) I think you overpaid for your RAM, by a LOT. A 2x8 RGB set of RAM cost $20 less. I'm not sure if it's because it's the 4x4, but just for future reference, I wouldn't be looking to pay $170 dollars when a 1x16 stick (or even 2x8) would be much cheaper...and it doesn't even have to be RGB! 2) Paying extra for Win10 Pro isn't completely necessary, unless you have a specific use for it. I'm not sure if you do, and if you do you can disregard this lol. I would just do a bit of research before hand before you spend unnecessary money.

Again, this is a great build. Just leaving a bit of information for your future reference. :)

I know, the ram I got right when that Samsung screw up was going on and all ddr4 was wayyyyy super expensive!!!I wanted to get the 4 pack and could only do it in 4x4 for the cash I had at the time, makes me mad how it drastically dropped now,oh well.i tried to break it up various ways to accomplish 4 sticks in the mobo at 16GB,it woulda been just about the same no matter what way I got them, didnt want just two in there with 2 empty slots, and this site,i know now how to change prices, but the win 10 pro is totally un-needed in my case i have a .EDU email and actually got it for 75 bucks,so I figured why not, they only had pro left other than OEM which ill never get since its a pain to move, lots of sites will cut ya great discounts with edu emails!!!and this is really my 1st build, just upgraded a few thing once and them wanted to watercool it bc I had 900 extra bucks so said why not?going to put a 1080 or 1080ti eventually, the 1070 works good OC,ed with the water cooling and is totally fine for what I do,all games I play are all at highest settings so for now ill save up till I need something more,im still only at 1080p,but going to the X34 soon or possibly 4K ill need something els possibly.thanks for the pointers and taking a peek, bro, really appreciate it!!:)

Stop!!! PLEASE!!! Stop!!!! Everything's good, EXCEPT FOR THE GRAPHICS CARD! CMON! 3200$ AND A GTX 1070?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WHATTTTTTTTT cmon though, seriously, get a 1080ti.

johnny8557 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 19 months ago

oh yeah,if ya see the old pc,your see why I got the 1070got it right after launch, and at the time the 180ti wasn't even out yetwith the hardware I had,the 1070 was fine considering the 1080 was $250 more and I'm only on 1080p screen, getting the x34 soon and if the 1070 don't push it enough, will up the gpu and up my other cpu/mobo/ram,and pick up a new case, and psuand 360 rad to water cool it and then grab a 1080 or a 1080ti,and the price is over the duration of the build,if ya handed me 3200 right now,it would be set up way different, ill update ya once I put in the 1080 or 1080ti and have the blocks on them and set up,and ill post the old Z97 msi gaming 5 mobo with the 16GB 2800 sniper ram ,i5 4690k and put this 1070 in that and grab another res/pump,i have another 360 rad and enough fitting to do another hardline run,the 1070 aint to bad of a card thou.at least for what I'm doing at the moment.lots of these parts I gotta a tad bit cheaper this site has its set price it fills in,probably a total of 2900-3000 over a year and some months of upgrades here and there.but I gotta good job now so the builds and upgrade from here on out will be to your liking I belive;)thanks for taking a peek thou and ill keep ya posted when I get the two builds totally done!!!take care man&cheers:)

jacobhaire 1 point 9 months ago

how did you get a 7600k to 5GHz?

johnny8557 submitter 2 Builds 1 point 9 months ago

de-lidded and applied thermal grizzly LM and a custom loop,i dont keep it their,it went thru synthetic benchmarks just fine, but if i run a cpu intensive game it'll bluescreen eventually, not always, but it can at times,so i dont consider that stable.its at 4.9 now and everything is fine and it idles at 27c and around 42-45c after 4-5-6 hours of heavy gaming.itll go to 65c-70c with stress test after 12 hours.
