Hello everyone. After a year of going back and forth, wondering if I really need to spend 2k on a computer for college. Not only am I an avid console player, but have a decent laptop to where I thought it might just be too excessive.
After about 10 months, I decided "hell yeah, why not" and after a long summer lifeguarding, half my paychecks went into this build.
I initially wanted to go intel: going for the 9700k because the micro center near us had a deal for 300 bucks and was stoked to have a strong gaming rig.
However, I also do productivity like video/photo editing as well and with the release of Ryzen 3xxx I was convinced by my PC gamer friends to switch!
I also plan on doing a lot of OC'ing so I can't wait to see how the temps do under full load as they already hover around 45 when I'm hardcore gaming/editing
Best decision ever!
Not only did I want to go all out this build, I wanted to go ALL OUT, so I went water cooled with the CPU and GPU. Problem was, I had no idea what case would fit all this. At first, I went with the H700i because I saw someone with the same build with the CPU cooler and GPU.
That's when I found the Lian-Li dynamic. In my eyes, one of the most beautiful cases!
After messing around with all of the specs, I waited for the best deals and ended up ordering the parts lat July (7/26) and put it all together with my friends on August 2nd.
No ideas on name yet, but I do have a video for it coming out friday (8/16) and here's the link to my channel if anyone would like to see/support me!
Thanks so much to r/buildapc and r/buildapcsales as well as my friends for helping join the PC master race
also, sorry for only one photo, I use an iPhone and didn't switch to compatible photos which makes everything a pain
