Description

Decided to upgrade my system after a year with a new one. I get married in 2 weeks but I decided spending money on my pc was more important. (/s but only if my Fiancé is reading this.) I loved the sleek all silver and black build, so I took the idea and ran with it.

I wanted to have a Silver Case but have good airflow, so my choices were an expensive Mirror 570x or a custom paint job. I took this as a challenge and went for the Meshify C TG. Upgraded from 970 to 980ti Founders because of Silver accents. Fresh Deepcool AIO because of no logo.

Part Reviews

CPU

Wonderful CPU for Gaming and Streaming especially at the price I was able to get it for. Didn't win the silicon lottery, but with my tasks being 80% gaming, I wasn't terribly upset for not reaching 4GHz stable.

CPU Cooler

Typical AIO with similar temps as previous CoolerMaster 240 AIO. RGB is great for possible future builds. Will have to go to ASUS board in next build to utilize ASUS Aura Sync though.

Motherboard

LOVE the aesthetics of this board. Was able to lower voltage and increase OC on 1600 with this board. Some lights (like green/red -DC/PWM- light for CPU input) seem unnecessary but do not throw out the appeal. Actually the bottom power button and reset helped me keep the OEM green light for 980 ti Founders Edition.

Memory

Reliable, and Aesthetically pleasing. Have DDR3 version in HTPC solely for bragging rights. Love the kit.

Storage

A little slow for an SSD in 2018 but I got one for free from work and the other for $40 on Reddit. Would only recommend at extreme deal like this

Video Card

Super Fast for 1080p Gaming, and gives option for 1440p upgrade in future. Look forward to keeping this card for a while.... Maybe.

Case

Wonder Airflow, great SSD Mounting, and Painted silver this case is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.

Power Supply

Reliable, Price worthy, and modular Power Supply. Highly recommend for Budget Builds

Keyboard

Keys are a little loose but stay relatively quiet like a membrane keyboard but feel of mechanical. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR FIRST RECREATIONAL KEYBOARD.

Mouse

Best Budget MMO, 14-Button Mouse. Must have for MMORPGs such as World of Warcraft. Lazer tracking could be better for other games (shooters) such as Destiny, Rainbow SIX, CS GO

Custom

ABSOLUTE BEST HALO LED FANS. Although lights are button controlled, I would recommend to anyone as it is best RGB fans for airflow, low noise, and visuals. Never disappointed by them after 7 months of use.

I know there is a way to scratch the green off the cards lit-up logo.

There is, but disassembling a Founders Edition card breaks your warranty.

Thank you! While I agree with you to an extent, my thought process was that the LED matched the mobo power/reset LED, so even if I was able to remove the green coating perfectly, the bottom section would still be mismatched.

Sorry for the necro post, but how exactly did you get the 1600 for $135? That's almost 2/3 what I paid!

Ebay has a 20% off deal, so I bought a few things to maximize my savings. So technically I bought the CPU for around $150 and Captain RGB cooler for around $80 but it was easier to track the CPU at 135 and Cooler at retail
