Description

Use mostly for playing Battlefield 4, Garry's Mod, and Smite. I call it finished but in reality I always end up upgrading something when I get the chance. Runs everything I want it to. I didn't plan to get a 3 monitor setup at first which is why I have 2 different types of monitors. Overall the r9 290 is doing very well with the 3 monitors but I might get another card in the near future. I do enjoy meeting new people online so go ahead and add me on steam (LeGrandmaster) origin(Bear-Devastator) or smite (beanert).

Bottom corsair fan is facing wrong way unless you want to exhaust out the bottom.

For a second I thought the tubing for the H100i was red but its from all those cool LED's!

Yeah, I think the fan should be turned around for intake instead of exhaust, hot air tends to rise so the bottom fan won't be able to dissipate all that heat. You are better off blowing the air up so you can exhaust it through the top.

Very nicely done with the build dude. Looks nice, and clear pics as well. Certainly deserves my +1. How does the 290X run? I've heard of them getting pretty hot, even with some aftermarket coolers. Thanks. - Aviator

Nice build, but I have a question. Any reason for the 1600x900 monitors instead of 1920x1080?

Thanks! I've had the HP monitor for a while so I decided to just get 2 more.

nice build! but those headphones arent the Razer Tiamat, they look like the Razer Megladons. what do you think of them?

Oh crap you're right I just realized I put the wrong ones on the list. They're great for the price especially for gaming.

Those are some bright LEDs. Good build! Everything looks great and parts are all well chosen.

Thanks! Yeah I wasn't sure about the LEDs at first but I think I made the right choice.

But overall it's a nice build (:

Are you gaming on all three monitors? What FPS are you getting? Deciding whether to get this or the 290x for my triple monitor setup, or just go cheaper and get a 270x single monitor setup...

Yeah I play on all three monitors and my average fps on battlefield on ultra with 2x AA is around 65. Without the AA it averages even higher. I like the 290 for the price to performance ratio.

How does the 290 play with 3 monitors? Ultra on most games? I have the same case ans a similar setup and was thinking of upgrading to the 290 on Black Friday when it will be sub $400. I already have two 24" Dell monitors and would buy a third of the same type with the 290 if it is strong enough...

It plays great and every game I've played runs just fine on ultra.

Awesome build! I just got a Thor for my first build, so I was wondering if you notice any issues with the bottom fan so close to the carpet. Does the feet provide enough clearance?

I was thinking of laying down a mat under the case for better airflow from the bottom upwards

Hey great case choice, and in my situation it had enough room to breath. I no longer have this build actually since I've upgraded but I gave my case to my younger sister and with a fan on the bottom even on the carpet it has enough room in my opinion.

Thanks!

I'm sure its an odd question, but I need to get a mat, so the wheels on my chair doesnt rip up the new carpet. Was thinking of getting a rectangle piece that will fit the entire area, chair desk, tower.
Can only think the fans above the plastic mat would be better at not pulling up dirt.

But not, sure Cost vs. Practicality.

Anyways, Nice Build. I ought to have mine completed next weekend. Hoping to post pics by then.
