This is my Current Plex Server with over 30 Connected users. Over 5000 Movies and 150 TV Shows.

Went from a CoolMaster Full ATX Stormtrooper Case running an AMD FX-8370 4.3GHz 8-Core to this Fractal Design Node 804 MicroATX Mid Tower with Intel Xeon E3-1230 V5 3.4 GHz Quad-Core. (

I have added The Majority of the HDD from over the last 3 years. This case is much smaller and way more compact and the Asus P10S-M WS is a great mATX board that had 8 Sata connections and works great for downsizing of the old Build.

Very nice. What is the noise level like? idle and load?

I've heard Zero noise. Idle and load. I also have Hardware acceleration on which uses the GPU more than it does the CPU.

Is the CPU enough for 30 connected users? I'm sure not all 30 stream off this box at the same time, but my quad core i5 gets pegged at 95~100% utilization for a single transcoded stream... assuming you have hardware transcoding enabled with the 1050 ti?

The worst I've seen from the CPU was sustained 50% usage with a spoke to the 90s but the Hardware Transcoding shifts most of the load to the 1050 TI. And that was like 6 or 7 users streaming at once. Between Direct play, HW Transcoding and regular Transcoding via the CPU.
