Description

New parts into my portal case. Previously had 3rd gen i5/asus GTX 6GB 1060 turbo. Installed all parts but was idling high, around 45C, when overclocked to 5.0 GHz. Pulled frame outside of case to test open air temps. Decided to mod the case for more airflow. Now idles around 29-33.

Painted strix 2070 shroud. And replaced the top plastic window with mesh, as heat seems to get trapped at the top while under load.

Got more pics? It's an interesting project, but we can't really see anything...

Pics of the components? It’s not much to look at inside. But yeah I’ll get some better pics of the compartment.

This was mainly to share my air flow solution to the horrible airflow of the bitfenix portal.

Added a pic of the mb before putting it in and a side pic of the compartment before sliding it into the case.

Great looking mod. What kind of mesh did you use? Where did you get it from?

Honestly mate, that is a great mod! I'm thinking of getting this case myself, and do you recommend doing this mod to someone with little to no experience?

Oh, and i've been searching for the mesh, but Im not able to find any. Do you maybe have a link to where you bought yours?
