Description

My white build with the P7, amazing case thats really not used by enough people. Very underrated and very good for budget builds if you want TG, in my eyes a very well built case. There is a few little bits that could be improve but nothing I can really dig into for the price. I Almost went for the Corsair 570X but there was too much stuff I thought made it feel really rushed by Corsair :( Can't say I have any regrets siding with the P7!

Stuff Aerocool got right is the inclusion of a fan hub and LED strip :D

This was my last upgrade for at least 4-5 years now apart from maybe a 1080ti at some point and a second M.2 for my Steam library.

Let me know what you guys think and if there's anything I can improve on.

Before anyone points it out.... Yes the fans are a little overkill but I LOVE THEM!

The only things I would do differently right now would have been going with an ASUS board and maybe a Ryzen 7 1700 :(

Made a video of some of the RGB, nothing over the top just something quick but looks better then some of the pictures. https://youtu.be/fJENMDCh4vE

On a side note, the corner where my PC is located is mine and my Wife's chill-out area :D Shes got a ROG Laptop with an i5 & 1060. Next build will be a PC for her in the NZXT H440 (Matte White/Purple) Case.

Wish me luck! :D

I really enjoy seeing builds with unique cases and it's not often that we gef to see Palit GPUs on pcpp either. Thanks for sharing your amazing build!

What also would have looked pretty nice would be a Hall of Fame GPU and the Geil Super Luce White Ram with Withe LEDS.

But still looks awesome

+1

TL;DR: What really matters is whether your computer does what you need it to. If it does, don't second guess. Just be happy you've got an awesome system that does what you want it to.

Don't worry about going Intel. Sure, the Ryzen 7 series bests it in some benchmarks and applications, but the Intel processor will be just as good, if not currently better, in many games (especially ones that rely on IPC, not core count).

I've seen benchmarks, and either way, both processor series are going to give you playable frame rates. I'll probably go Ryzen if I have the chance, but that's for workstation use. For gaming (and for anything that likes threads), your processor should be fine.

In fact, I'm running a slower-clocked E3 Xeon. It's fine for gaming and workstation use. Your i7 will probably best it due to the same thread count and higher clock speed. Yet mine works fine for what it's used for, so I'm happy. I can play AAA titles and Minecraft alike, so don't worry. You'll be fine with your faster processor.

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Your right but I just feel like I've missed out being part of something big like Ryzen :(

someta 3 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Yeah, me too. I'm wishing I had waited a while to build my workstation. I could have gotten a Ryzen processor too :/

xEvoThunderx 2 points 8 months ago

Extremely Aesthetic!

Great solution for GPU sag! +1

Sockens 2 points 8 months ago

32gb of RAM, Good chance of 5Ghz overclock, Liquid cooled CPU, M.2, a PALIT GTX 1080, Spicy case,

I smell a feature. Anyone else?

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

I hope so :D

Sockens 1 point 8 months ago

I'm still a Skylake user. I think it will stay that way until my i5 kicks the bucket.

I like this case man you should check my project 7 build as well https://pcpartpicker.com/user/ivannooz/builds/#view=7bjypg and my youtube video build for this case https://youtu.be/glufP0ABP2g you'll love it I swear

Hxx 5 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

not a bad case but can't say i heard of it. The 570x is a fantastic case personally I like the 460x more cuz its slimmer but thats just me. Anyway great build.

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Not many people have, I liked the 460X too but again felt it was very rushed by Corsair and could do with improvement :)

Hxx 5 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

yeah both of them were rushed which kinda sucks. they def. prioritized looks over function

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Thats why I ended up picking this case in the end, this case looks so nice and is very functional instead of just looking great :)

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Thank you so much for all the feedback and the fantastic reception this builds received! :D :D :D

anord419 1 Build 1 point 8 months ago

You got Windows 10 for what amounts to USD$10? Watch out for staff coming in saying that 'the sale of these keys violate microsoft tos and may be unexpectedly deactivated', man. Otherwise, +1 for the case and the RGB.

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Got it off eBay OEM Key so its protected but if it does get deactivated I'll sort a new one out from the seller.

Jben2776 1 point 8 months ago

I've been wanting this case so bad but I've heard you can't get the tempered glass version in the US.

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Oh really? That's so not cool :(

SonOfLiberty796 1 point 8 months ago

Hey man, sick build! How's that water cooler working for ya? I've been really interested in it, but there doesn't seem to be much info about it in terms of temperatures. I'd appreciate it if you could provide me some!

Also I have myself a Ryzen 1700 lol. But the 7700k is still a great processor, so don't fret on it too much :P

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

Rub it in LOL its actually killing me now haha beating myself up so bad about it going for the i7 :(

The temperatures are reasonable, never going above 75c overclocked to 4.8 and sitting at 40ish at idle in a fairly hot room near a heater. Just keep in mind I have replaced the stock fans with Corsair ML120 so that I imagine is going to have had an effect and I only have 5 on there due to space. Not sure my build will be a good enough test for the reliability of this rad but from how I have it set up I'm I'm very happy with it :)

Nick15 1 point 8 months ago

How did the 2 terrabyte hard drive turn out in the build? Becuase on the list it sais its not compatible with the case...

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 8 months ago

The case has 3 3.5 bay's, not sure why it's coming up as incompatible.

Fits and works fine anyway :D

Just noticed I had the wrong HD listed as well so thank you for making me look.

Nick15 1 point 8 months ago

Thanks :D

Whiteshadow001 1 point 5 months ago

How well does that AIO water cooler cool the processor? I like the looks of it!

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 5 months ago

Yh its a really god rad and it comes with six fans which is nice if you dont want to spend more on others, which in my case would have saved me loads but wanted the white leds

PolarBearsHD 1 Build 1 point 2 months ago

Where can you buy the tempered glass version of this case? I can't find it anywhere. D:

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 2 points 2 months ago

I dont know about the US but over in the UK you can find it at most of the biggest online part sellers. Hope that helps :D

trend.y 1 point 19 days ago

What is the Height of the case and the Length and width of your desk?

Nice Build by the way 1+

trend.y 1 point 19 days ago

Where can I find the Tempered Glass variant of the P7 Case (In Black)?

Would really like to know and nice build by the way +1.

Coupec submitter 6 Builds 1 point 18 days ago

Most online retailers in the UK have the newer case in black, if your based in the US I believe your out of luck as I don't think any retailer has it over there.

It's packed up at the moment so I can't measure it sorry. I'm sure you can find what you need on Aerocools Website though.

Glad you like it :)

trend.y 1 point 17 days ago

Thanks!

Its not been too bad, doesn't make much in the way of noise, the fans are louder.. I've got 5 ml120 fans on the rad just one missing at the bottom due to space but I don't think its effected the performance by too much, all in all im very happy with it.
