Description

My first high end build coming from a ryzen 1600x build and before that a fx8320 build

Only true compromise is a 2080 instead of a TI but can justify $1200 more for %20 ish performance

Love the 570x corsair case, cable management on the back side is quite tight especially with that many rgb components and controllers. But manageable, left the shroud off.

The I9-9900K. Is just next level, for gaming and work loads its super responsive and hard working even just running xmp overclock and all core turbo. People complain it runs hot, but mind idles in the mid 20's and after gaming for extended periods sits high 50's. For me night and day still between Intel and AMD mainly dude to the low 1% frames being alot better on the I9

The strix z390-f is a great motherboard only complaint is location of 20pin usb 3 would've been alot tidier to have it on right hand high than bottom middle. m.2 heat-sink looks nice and seem to do an ok job.

850x power supply white got it on a deal and thought the white sleved cables would look nice. In Retro spec would've been better just going black and getting extensions, even though they are individually sleeved there are the best quality and dont have a nice flex to them.

All the I-Cue stuff i love, work great for me no issues i also have the Strafe mk.2 keyboard, Sabre mouse, St100 headset stand & polaris mouse pad. Good to manage temps with custom curves on fans independently and relating to GPU temps and CPU temps.

At the time of post my 2080 hasn't arrived neither has my 2nd kit of ram so will update photos after than arrives. (Using my old Evga 1060 6GB atm which still does okay at 1440p 144hz)

Part Reviews

CPU Cooler

Good cooling, pump very quite. cool software

Motherboard

Great only complant is with location of usb 3 20pin and could use another usb 2 header

Memory

Nice looking, Little bit over priced

Storage

Wicked fast good price point

Storage

Was my old games drive still great speeds and relatively cheap

Storage

Super fast, boot times of around 5 seconds with my I9. Little overpriced though

Case

Great looking, comes with 4 fans (that i replaced with LL120s) and a rgb hub, (no fan hub) 240 rad up top no problem. Back side it tight for cable management

Power Supply

Great power supply, sleeved cables were alot worse quality than i was expecting

Case Fan

Best looking fans IMO but very expensive. More a good amount of air even through a rad, pretty quite

Case Fan

Monitor

Best monitor I've ever seen, G-Sync 144hz (stock) & 1440p, would recommend to any one spending similar money on graphic cards

I have to give it to you. Good job on the cable management. Strix is a good choice. I didn't build my dream PC but its adequate, but I had to build a better work space hence the IKEA HACK & floor mat. Just need a new chair now. Take a look.
