Description

Hi, This is my build that cost me around £350 altogether a couple of weeks ago.

AMD Ryzen 7 1700

I had the option of going with a second-gen Ryzen 5 2600, or a first-gen Ryzen 7 1700. I definitely picked the right option. I picked this processor, not only because it was a bargain, at only £145 new, but having 8 Cores and 16 Threads makes it an absolute beast in gaming, and a MONSTER in video editing I managed to get it to 3.85ghz on the stock cooler, but i turned the clock speed back down to its base, because my motherboard's VRMs were getting quite toasty. The included Wraith Spire LED is really nice, as not only do i like the ring around it, but you can change the colour of it. I prefer it red though.

Gigabyte GA-AX370M-DS3H Micro ATX AM4

Well, i'll start with the good points first. It has two full length PCI-E lanes Four dimm slots for RAM modules Has an RGB header An NVME drive slot BUT **Don't, what ever you do, do not install any software for this motherboard. It's more comparable to a virus than any software designed to make life easier. For instance when i installed the driver disc, I got popup windows telling me to update my drivers...RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF A CS:GO COMPETITIVE MATCH. Also the RGB software doesn't work AT ALL. i have to change my RGB colours in the BIOS.

AMD Radeon HD 6750 1GB GDDR5 Really loud, Really slow, Really power hungry, Really crap. BUT i did only pay $10 for this thing

Crucial 1x4 and 1x8 RAM

Not much to say about this, really. Its a reasonable speed (2400mhz), its not too flashy but it does the job. I bought an extra 4GB, because, not only did i want more than 8GB of RAM, but i wanted it in dual channel.

Kingston A400 240GB Fast SSD for the price! no complaints, and it loads windows very quickly!

Corsair CX430 Supplies enough power to my RIG, not too expensive either.

Part Reviews

CPU

Best purchase i have made this year. Beast in gaming, MONSTER in video editing, and comes with a dope LED stock cooler

Motherboard

Good motherboard for the most part, with lots of nice features, that others don't for the same price, BUT THE SOFTWARE IS THE MOST CANCEROUS THING I HAVE EVER USED. RGB software doesn't work, so i have to change the LED colours in the BIOS, and the sound software for it is just a re skinned windows sound manager.

Memory

its cheap, fast RAM, what more can i say?

Memory

its cheap, fast RAM, what more can i say? Although, if you are only going to buy 8GB of RAM for your system, then definitely get 2x 4GB sticks, as dual channel RAM is always better than single channel RAM

Storage

Cheap, fast SSD. I like the rough metal finish on it too

Power Supply

Cheap, Reliable and Quiet PSU

Optical Drive

plays DVDs. What more can i say

The amd ryzen 7 1700 is going to bottle neck that video card by a ton so it will not perform well in games at all you should try to at least get a 1050ti
