An update year or two after dragon one

Part Reviews

11/10 best cheap processor will only get bogged down in games like cities skylines but i keep that med settings but for everything else it is the best.

CPU Cooler

i mean, it works and is good if your build needs some cheap flare. great cheap stock cooler alternative

does most everything but has no on-board WiFi and has no front usb 3.0 but it does have 2 in the back and has support for 4 front usb 2.0

the title is right, but 40 bucks for 4gb of ram is crazy, but thats the dram shortage

i mean it works, but i can only use 1333mhz of it, and even over the dram shortage it is still not a good value. they charge too much for a little blue heat spreader. cheap out on this if you can.

not the fastest ssd ever, but it works and is good, just dont expect to put games on it

increased cache from caviar blue means faster load times, and it is well worth it. carries all of my games and footage with no sweat. sometimes i forget it is there.

Video Card

if you dont plan on vr, 1440p or 4k, this is the card for you. if you are like me and have always wanted to foray into vr, save your money for a 1060 3gb. but i swear to f**king god dont buy a cheap 1050ti over this. this is great because can overclock it so high and still have the fans not even turn on at idle.

yes good case for the money i give it five stars now because this is the best case at this price range.

Power Supply

this isnt the exact power supply, but is has all the cables you need and has all the good safety features as well as plenty enough room to add more power hungry components.

Optical Drive

not the greatest, but it does its job. what do you expect from a 15 dollar dvd/cd read/write

Operating System

got it for free so what can i say? helps keep microsoft's greasy fingers away from my updates at least

Case Fan

should have gotten pwm, but it works

Case Fan

one of my two fans broke on me within a week after a bump on my desk. one of the blades cracked and fell inside the dust filter and the fan. didnt even bother with warranty with the price of it, just bought a new one and forgot to install it for a year (i unplugged the broken fan). i finally put it in and it is all good.

cheapest 1080p monitor at best buy, the speakers are $#!t, but it is the cheapest 1080p monitor at best buy. hasnt broken or anything, so yea, good price/performance.

g6 key is kinda broken, but it is my fault for repeatedly taking it out and putting back in. i do have an issue with the color balance for yellow and i end up setting it to orange to get yellow. bought this at walmart thinking it was mechanical, but no. also sometimes it wont detect the keyboard in icue so i have to unplug it and plug it back in

all good except problem where 75% of the time i have to unplug and plug back in as it does not get registered by icue after second peripheral refresh during boot sequence.

best headset for 50 dollars, solid mic and epic sound quality.

not the coolest one, but i guess it works. even works with non-pwm fans btw

Love the parts you have chosen and the build self, BUT there is one thing and that is the cable management I'm 100% sure you can do better on that!

Yeah but it's so hard and restrictive. I never really look at it anyways so as long as the airflow is OK I am gOOd.
