Description

Be careful with the cable management bar inside the S340 case when installing the graphics card. Unscrewing the two lowest brackets gave enough flex to allow the card to pop into place.

If you can, get custom length PSU cables. There is no room on the side panel. I will have to go back and reroute the larger cables.

The CPU cooler was interesting to install. The hex screws that are inserted into the backplate love to rotate out of the grooves when you tighten down the installation bracket.

Looking forward to replacing the fans, and adding interior lighting.

I didn't know they had released the quad lumi. I thought it was a rumor dead as of a few years ago. Does it perform the exact same as the original H7 just with LEDs or is it a completely different cooler?

Never had the H7 but what I was told they just added a LED strip at the bottom of the heatsink, and the top one is controllable with their CAM software. For the LED it requires an internal USB 2 header.

That is both awesome and saddening at the same time. Does it have brightness control and all that jazz through the NZXT software?

For the cooler there is no setting right now that controls the brightness. I cant say for the other lighting controllers they sell. The camera I was using was overexposing the led. When you power down the computer however, right now the light on the cooler stays on. I'm not 100% sure if that is normal or a software bug.

It has an extra heat pipe and some more airflow optimisations

Where did you get the case from?

it is a limited edition NZXT case. Not than many were produced I believe

NZXT, as far as I know you have to order directly.

how well do that ryzen chip and the 1070 work together? might use those two in my build later, with the same motherboard too lol... :)

They are talking well, no issues so far. Just be careful when picking ram for ryzen, it can be very picky. The IO shield on the board is sadly covered by the rear exhaust fan, just something to be aware of, maybe a slim 120 would show off more of the board.

Any overclocking done on the ryzen 5? How is the H7 Quad Lumi keeping up with temps?

Don't have enough free time to see what I can do with it, but when I do I will try and update it.

How much space is between the front SSD and the glass? I want to put an acrylic backplate on it and I want to know the clearance. if you could measure that somehow, that would be awesome!

Possibly only 1-2 mm more than then height of the thumb screw that holds the drive in place. JP modified just made a video (Title: NZXT S340 Elite), where he appears to add his own custom acrylic shroud to the side. He does use the mounting tabs for the drive sled as a point to attach the acrylic. I currently do not own the tools to figure out the exact distance.

Thanks! I'll check out his video and see what information I can gather!

Awesome build! I have the same case and can't wait to get all my parts to build in it. +1

Have you done any overclocking on that CPU with that cooler? Curious how the new H7 can cool the 1600.

NZXT released a special line of S340 and H440 cases that were painted after a CS:GO skin, called the hyperbeast. It's a limited production, and only 1337 were made.

Na but the quality is up there. The color quality is insane, I wish more case companies allowed for designs like this.
