Description

When I built my last PC, liquid cooling was a joke, SSD price was rocket high, Captain America and Iron Man were still friends.

This is also my first min-ITX build. I knew I want the NZXT H200 at the moment I met her. It took me 9 years to capture my wife's heart while this small black/write box takes only 1 second to capture mine.

Anyway, I decided to build a black/write color theme build and finally the project is named as "Angry Panda". In the end, I'm incredibly happy about this build. It can play Minesweeper Witcher 3 smoothly without no doubts!

Part Reviews

CPU

No-brainer if you are looking for a OC high performance CPU with market approved quality.

CPU Cooler

It gave me a hard time to choose between HSF and AIO. Finally I followed some advice from the vet and got this one. It is as quiet as its brand name. The cooling performance is better than I expected. I have no problem to OC my 8700k with it.

Motherboard

Affordable ITX Z390 mother board. Nice layout. Really fits my cable management needs. It has only 3 fan outputs: CPU fan, pump fan and sys fan. You need to get some Y splitter if you have more case fans.

Storage

No complains at the performance, not at all! The price is really high comparing to some of its peers. Without a good deal I probably would not consider it. Another issue is the high temperature. Under load it can reach 70C easily. In average it stays art around 50C. I added a heatsink for it still not very helpful.

Video Card

As one of the cheapest RTX 2080, this model doesn't have too many features. The LED control doesn't provide too many flexibility. Overall the performance is good. Cooling is better than I expected.

Case

One of the best cases IMO!

Case Fan

The noise is bigger than expected. Did several tests and finally identified they are the major noise source. Very surprised. I reviewed all the connections and tied them hard in the case, still no help. Fortunately, I can set the fan control to DC mode so they are not that bad in low load usage cases.

Monitor

This monitor is pushing hard to the human being limits. 120HZ, 4K, 4 ms.

Custom

This hammer makes a good couple with NZTX H200!

Thanks! I need more time to study the OC setting. Now I put it at 4.2G and the temp without load is 27C. Would do more test later. So far, no complains.

Really nice build! I got the same case, I used 2 Arctic P14 PWM fans with rubber fan screws, it's budget friendly and reasonably quiet during benchmarks.

I just have to know, what or how did you get that glowing image of the panda that is on your PSU shroud? I am going to be doing a build for a friend and I want to add a little personality to his build. Something like that would be perfect. I won't be using a panda in the build, but I am just curious how or what that is. Thank you if you get a chance to read and respond to this.

Nevermind, I see that it's in your partslist as a RGB SSD Cover.

This is awesome! I see that you’re using some sort of rubber piece to hold the gpu up. How can I get one of those?

That's included in the H200i! You can search for the GPU stand in the H200i manual. https://sta3-nzxtcorporation.netdna-ssl.com/uploads/download/attachment/740/H200i_H200-manual-ver7-071618_-_web.pdf

Oh cool. One more thing, how is that cooler with your RAM? I have corsair vengeance rgb pro and I'm wondering if it will fit

Well... I don't have a cooler for my RAM. I don't think there is enough space for the RAM cooler as I chose an AIO for the CPU. In fact, the temp for my RAM is never a problem when I do the bench test. I do have a heat sink for my M.2 SSD.

Yes. That cooler is quite big.

I had to upvote after I saw that it could run Minesweeper. Not many systems are capable of running such a demanding game. At 1440p, no less.
