Description

It has been two years since I build my first PC.

Now there was a chance to sell that one and upgrade parts so I grabbed that chance. Actually it is more of a new build than an upgrade.

Case:

The Define R6 is a nice case that has a lot of options and only few shortcomings. I wanted a case that would house a 280mm rad in the front panel as well as HDD trays. Hard to find in the midi tower Range. So fractal it was. The only thing I wondered why building was that USB3 plug. It doesnt fiot the cabelmanagement holes at all. The side one is too small, the bottom one doesnt align with the mobo connector.

Fan situation:

I put the silent wings in the top of the case for Airflow. I used the Noctua on the Rad. I wanted a push config but I only have two hands and that was just not possible. I still havent firgured out why the Top rad PWN fan turns, stops, starts again. Strange but the cooling works

Windows:

Or lords above windows I know I changed my MOBO but come on you told me If I linked my Key to my account all would be fine. NEH It isnt Windows refuses to accept the key that always worked. Looking forward to talking to the support if I ever reach them. (Why did they get rid of slui 4)

I tried my best with cablemanagement. It looks alright in the fron. Never open that back tho.

Did this come with the GPU vertical mounting plate and connection. I'm planning on building my first ever PC build and am wanting to mount my Aorus 1080 ti water-force in the vertical position. The description says sold separate but I cant find anywhere when you try to buy the case to add the vertical mount and connector.

No that vertical thing has to be bought. http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/flex-vrc-25 It might only be sold later.

OK thanks...I've actually just read somewhere that the mount isn't available for purchase till the end of January. Maybe companies selling the case will offer the add ons once they're available.

How did you managed to fit Kraken in that position I was not able to fit it there because it was interfering with top mb heatsink so I pushed it to most outer from mb position? I have the same mb and cooler.

Do you have the same case?

I took out all my drive cages, put the fans on the radiator (the Noctua one's) and then attached the radiator to the chassis front. It's fits and has space after I put the drive bays back in.

Yes I have R6 as well and the same cooler same mb and same cpu and so on. Just when I tried to install cpu cooler with original kraken fans and stuff it got stuck jamming between mb top heat sink. I also took out all of hdd brackets and pushed the vanity plate further. Just then I mounted the radiator to the top plate closer to mb it doesn't go in nicely so I moved it to right side (looking to the glass side). However I'm planing to mount radiator with fans on the front to pull the air in and exhaust it from the top and the back. Also planing to put another fan in the bottom to take air in.

Oh wait so you tried putting it in the top? Cause the 280mm doesnt fit the top. Also many reviews starte that if you want to put something in the top there is no real space because of the mobo heatsinks.

In the case manual it is shown that u can fit 420 length rad. But that's not the problem the problem is the width and kraken x62 rev 2 is 143 mm smth so those 3 mm is interfering with mb clearance. but I manged to fix the rad to the most furthest slots from mb and it was ok. However in this build he managed to fit it right the spot where I could thats why I was asking.

I did feel like the case is really good but sometimes space is tight.

Do you have any issues with controlling your RGB lighting between your RAM, mobo and CPU cooler? I planned on doing nearly this exact build but with a h700i case instead.. pretty worried that all the different software will interfere.

Mainboard and GPU and I think that ram too can be linked via Aura Sync so they work together.

The AIO can not be linked but changes color too.

It looks good together-
