Hey guys this is my revised build, New things: Added another 980Ti with waterblock and backplate, Swaped cables with new CableMod Graphite cables, MNPCtech custom Stealth BILLET Cable Combs and added two Dell Ultrasharp U2415 1920x1200 monitors and rested all the monitors on a Ergotech Triple Monitor Desk Stand.
As of right now I decided to go with a second 980Ti over a GTX1080 because I really did not feel for the price jump my performance gain would not be that significant. I was able to pick up this 980Ti, water-block and back-plate for $400 on Ebay. Once the additional card came in with the new cables and fittings I drained the loop, added the card and filled her back up with fresh fluid. (Still a complete pain in the ***)
I will admit that the 980Ti SLI is not quite what I had in mind at first, some games get very angry in SLI and for the first few days I was experiencing crashing in almost every game. After a few days I believe I got it all sorted out and its running quite well. The games that support SLI run very well, Battlefield 4 gets about 200fps on average with all settings on Ultra, Black Ops III: 130fps+, Overwatch: 140fps+ and even GTA V with all setting 100% maxed gets around 95 - 110fps. The only game I really wish ran at a better framerate was Rainbow 6: Siege but that doesn't support SLI.
All in all I am very pleased with the new build and Setup. The custom cable combs are from MNPCtech, they are cnc machined from 1/8" thick 6061 aluminum so they are impossible to snap and look fantastic! The additional monitors are very useful and the Ergotech Stand is absolutely amazing! The build quality is outstanding. Although the base has a large footprint it definitely looks great and the hinges feel like they would support a car door.
As for now I will sit tight and wait for the GTX1080Ti release. Stay tuned for my next build!
