This is my first gaming PC. I had a mac before building this beast, but I decided it wasn't cutting it, so I sold the mac and decided to build myself a PC. I did quite a bit of research and tried not make it too expensive. I owned the peripherals beforehand like the mouse, keyboard, and monitor, so those didn't effect my budget. I mainly play games like CS:GO as well as a few AAA titles including BF4, and I also do some video and photo editing but I didn't need something that was over the top powerful so I ended up with this. So far it has been performing great and I'm super happy with it! :) I plan on adding some RGB lighting, front fans, and maybe an SSD in the future. Once I get the lighting I'll take some better high quality pictures (sorry about the current bad quality pictures). Feel free to leave questions or comments, thanks!
Here are a few games I tested at 1080p: Battlefield 4, Ultra, 4x AA: ~60-70 fps Rust, High: 60+ fps Far Cry 3, Ultra: ~ 60-70 fps Rocket League, Maxed: 60+ CS GO: ~270
I will try to update this list as I play some more games!
I could've gone with a skylake CPU but since this is mainly a gaming rig I decided to save the extra money and put it elsewhere. This CPU has been performing great and it's stock cooler is quite silent!
It's a fairly simple motherboard but it does the job and looks aesthetically pleasing meanwhile.
Looks and performs great. The heat sinks are awesome and so far the RAM has been reliable.
It has a great amount of storage and has been performing well so far.
Epic card! It blasts through games and the included backplate is great. The card is pretty silent most of the time and stays cool! I can max most games at 1080p and get great fps. Definitely recommend this card!
I know I could've gone with the black and blue model to fit my color scheme, but at the time of purchase this one was much cheaper on amazon and I have prime so that means free 2 day shipping on otherwise very expensive shipping. The case itself is amazing! It looks freaking awesome and there is tons of space to work with!
Does its job. No complaints here.
So far I haven't experienced too many bugs, and the boot up times are pretty good as well!
Wireless Network Adapter
It is pretty good but I occasionally get lag spikes while in games. The lag usually goes away after a couple seconds but in games like CS:GO it can be slightly annoying. Otherwise great WiFi card!
I got it for 70 bucks on black friday which is an absolute deal breaker! The viewing angles are great and the monitor looks awesome!
Clicky clicky beautiful clicks.
Love this mouse! Its the nicest mouse I've ever used, it just fits so nicely in your hand, and also the chroma is awesome!
