I had to do a double take on that GPU. How did you get that on there?

The gpu was fitted with a custom made backplate from coldzero

  • 2 points

How was the building experience in that case? Would you recommend it for a beginner?

  • 3 points

The build was simple. Most cases with open windows or tempered glass doors seem to help you hide the wires pretty easy. This is a large medium case compared to the nzxt s340 I used before this one... In short, I'd recommend it. I do like the phanteks enthoo evolv tempered glass case. Built another pc with that and wish I would of spent more and went with that though... It's expensive

Love this build! The 970 pairs very nicely with the 8-core fx-series.

PSA! If you live near a Microcenter, you can pick up an AMD FX CPU and a nice motherboard for less than $120!

Very nice build, I'm planning to upgrade from an FX-6300 to an FX-8350 in the next few months. Along with that, I want to get a GTX 1060. Do you think I would be ok using my 970 chipset motherboard with those upgrades?

Thank you. I like the case... I switched from a nzxt s340 and like this better. But I did a case swap on another pc case the same week with a phanteks enthoo evolv tempered glass case and like that case much more pcpartpicker.

It is a little over 2x as much but if I could go back I would choose the phanteks over the InWin 303. But it still is a good case. Cooling system is odd. I'm use to a front and top fans.

Nice build! Just an observation: your description says "MEMORY Kingston HyperX Fury White 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR3-1600; but your parts list says your memory is 32GB. I was just wondering which one is installed in your build. Thanks for posting this awesome build!

  • 1 point

Thanks! It truly looks great!

  • 1 point

how well does your 8350 + 970 work im curious i was thinking about going the same combo

  • 1 point

Honestly Ive had 6300, 8320, and 8350 and with overclocking I haven't noticed a difference, i'd go with the best deal. I think the 6300 is just fine, clocks just as high as the 8 cores with a better single core I believe.

I just replaced an 8350 in my other pc with an i5 6600k and wow...That is a huge difference. I might have to do that with this pc. When people preach intel....there is a reason

  • 1 point

awesome thanks for the reply I'm definitely going over to the 6600k as well when I find a good deal on it!

  • 1 point

Yeah, I paid $238 on Amazon. Well worth the price. I overclocked it to 4.5 ghz with 1.23v and it was much easier than the amd cpu. Best cpu I've ever owned

  • 1 point

hey i've just purchased that and a few upgrades towards my build too! i'm really excited

  • 1 point

where are the led strips? if you have any, can you upload a pic of where they are? thanks!

  • 1 point

It's just a single strip on top. It is the logisys led kit with remote. Model LDXRM12C if you want to look it up.

  • 1 point

What fans did you use in the pictures? Also are they white LEDs? Great build btw, i have the same case .

  • 1 point

Thank you.... The fans are 120mm BitFenix Spectre, top are pro series. The 2 on the h60 radiator are 120mm phanteks.

  • 1 point

How did you put 2 fans on a h60 corsair cooler it is possible and it is a pull/push? Thank you

  • 1 point

I love the H60. I've owned an H80i before and it is pretty much the same as that one as far as temps you just don't get the use of corsair link and the LEDs. I use them on a lot of builds I do. I buy the refurbished one from Newegg for $60 and they never have gone wrong.

I haven't tested it.. The nzxt had really good airflow. The top three fans are oddly not pressed to exterior panel and idk if that will keep some heat inside the case. I like 140mm fans and this case only fits 7x120mm
