All the power I need until I go SLI.

This is a refurbished PSU, it's been going strong for over a month so let's hope for more.

from completed build (Clever Title Here)

More Corsair. premium tier 1 psu for steady power delivery. i know 860 is overkill for my current setup but i love the fanless mode, and i wanted plenty of room when i decide to go sli.

from completed build Neptune

Optional braided cables look great.

Love it, definitely in my opinion the 'Goldie Locks' output range of the digital power supplies.

from completed build The Green Monster

Getting the job done and with a relatively small form factor to fit into mATX cases.

I know it's a little overkill but I'd rather go with too much than not enough and have room for upgrades later. Plus it was on sale when I bought it.

from completed build Kilimanjaro

I wanted a power supply that will last me a while (this one comes with a warranty until 2023), I wanted one that was modern (corsair link), reviewed well, silent (the fans don't spin under 20% usage). That left me with either the 760i or the 860i. Since the efficiency curves for both peak at 50% (and the price difference was 20CAD), I got the 860i (once I populated my system with hard drives, I should be using about 60% under stress, but most of the time I'll use 40% or less). Additionally, the extra bit of headroom between the two mean that my system stays silent under 344W draw, instead of 304W draw. It's not a lot, but it's significant! The cables that come with it are incredible, the added software is extremely helpful for 1-click optimizations and its voltage regulation is pretty much flawless. I cannot possibly feel safer or happier about my power supply choice!

I had the non-i version before and I was able to hear a little noise coming from it, I don't know why. After two months the PSU was died. I had sent the unit to Corsair for a replacement and they sent me the "i" version, which is awesome, for my taste it feel better and I can not hear any noise at all, it was just Plug and Play. I love the red color too on the sides.

Grabbed this on the cheap and it is great working with a modular PSU, so much to expand to, reasonable wattage and so far has had no issues, the test function is also great.
