How exactly do I install Ubuntu onto a new build? Also, how would I put windows onto that same build in the future?
Do you want to dual-boot, or use Ubuntu first before you can buy Windows?
Use Ubuntu then windows
Go onto Ubuntu's website on any computer with a rewritable DVD drive. Place a blank DVD into the drive then download the latest version of Ubuntu.
When the download is done, you can right-click the ISO and use Window 7's disk burning utility. It should all work well once the disk is burnt.
Once I get Ubuntu installed, will I be able to uninstall it and get windows 8?
You will be able to overwrite it with Windows 8. But make sure you make backups first.
How do I make a backup? Sorry, I have never run Ubuntu before.
It has a built in backup system. Just look for it in the dashboard. :)
First download the linux distribution in iso format then get a flash drive then download unetbootin then format the drive as ntfs then use unetnootin with you iso file on the flash drive btw if you like ubuntu you will like linux mint its based on ubuntu but it has a good interface
That sounds more complicated the other one...
Just google it linux mint
He wanted Ubuntu. UNetBootin can download the ISO he wants from the program. It also formats the USB drive for you.
