How do you feel about the fit of your FTW edition in your case? I watched a review from a guy with very white teeth where he said the wider card would not fit as well in a mid tower case.
IRCC he said this card would fit well with mid tower cases. But anyways, it fits perfectly and doesn't cover up the "bar" in my elite case. I know the ASUS Strix card goes beyond that.
Should have gotten a 750W or 700W power supply.
but I don't think it would have made much of a difference if you didn't buy this one because there are some cheaper 750W power supplies.
Cool build! looks close to mine except I use air cooling and corsair vengeance for RAM.
I disagree; the OP chose a very good power supply. I'm interested in what 700-750W power supplies that you recommend that is cheaper than $90 with Japanese capacitors, fully modular, and 80+ gold rated. OP doesn't need 700-750W if he's not going SLI and even SLI should work on the G2 power supply. After all, the GTX 1070 only uses 161W at max load.
His 650 watts, at a good $90 price, is PLENTY for his setup right now. Actually, 550 watts would have been plenty for his current build using one 1070 and one SSD, although 650 allows him to add a second 1070 later, if he wanted more oomph in SLI-supported games. He would only need 700-750 if he had two GTX 1080's (or one 1080 and maybe add a second one later). If he was going for GTX 1080 Ti's, I would have suggested 850 watts, which would have been plenty for dual 1080 Ti's unless you are also using lots of hard drives and a big custom loop.
I agree with the 2 commentators, a 700 or 750 watt power supply is overkill.
750 or 700w for a single gpu LUL
That's not what i'm saying, considering 700-750 are near the price range and some even less he could've gotten one and he wouldn't have to worry about upgrading it any time soon.
