Hi, I decided to change my PC after I tried to play BF4 beta. My old rig couldnt handle the game so it gave my a good reason to by myself this build. I already know that people gonna say I could have played BF4 with a good pc for alot less $ but I had the money so I went all in :)
I build this PC for 4-5 years, Im not a big gamer anymore but I want to be able to play the newest games at the max graphs quality for 1-2 years. In a year or two I will buy a second GTX 780 to be able to keep this pc up to date graphs wise.
CPU: I went with the I7-4770K cause a wanted a 4e gen I7 and this one is the best for the price and the reviews are great.
CPU COOLER: I didnt know really wich one to get, I went for the thermaltake, same brand as my case and I read good review about it. Is it the best probably not, but for now Im happy with it (except for the instructions that came with the cooler...)
Motherboard: Great reviews for that board, so I went with the Hero cause I didnt need all the stuff available in other Maximus board.
Memory: I had a great price for this model of Cordair Vengeance, the brand always been good.
SSD: Great reviews for the PRO series. Bought the 256gb to be able to put win7 and 1-2 games that I play on it.
HD: Kept my 2 old Hitachi drives and bought a 3TB Barracuda. G
Video card: I had the money so I went for the best for that price ! Thanks AMD for the price drop on GTX 780 :)
Monitor: I replaced my old VGA 19 inch for the BenQ XL2420TE. My actual 24 inch will become my second monitor. Why the BenQ, the best 24 inch for gaming without the possibility of eyestrain (people have that with the Asus...)
Case: I really like the look and I had a good deal on it.
Power supply: Good reviews good price 750 was enough for me even when Ill had a second GPU.
For the building part, everything went well except for the cpu cooler, there was some errors in the instructions so I had to go check on youtube and finally found a good video on how to fix it. Spend more than a hour just for the cooler, the guy on youtube said the same thing about the instructions...
Its been 3-4 days now that I run this machine, really impressed with the speed of the SSD, boot time impressive 10-15 sec to boot win7. BF3 loads and run really good, every games that I tried a put all the settings to MAX and the N780 does the job.
I bought all my parts from Memory Express, they have a price match policy and they give you 25% of the difference, plus 5$ shipping.
Thanks for reading me !
