I spend quite a bit of time working on my computer from home and got tired of the old PC I had dragging so I decided to finally upgrade. I spent way too much time researching parts and prices, not to mention adjusting my budget, until I finally came up with what I wanted.
First and foremost, this is an overall workhorse PC. I primarily connect to work via VPN but occasionally do some huge Excel sheet merges. I am not a heavy gamer and don't really care for the RPG or FPS games, I'm more of a flight sim person.
For my first build, I have to say things went very well. My only issues were a bad monitor right out of the box and some somewhat limited space to work with. I found out very quickly that you either need small hands or a huge case to simplify things, otherwise getting big ol' meathooks inside a PC isn't the easiest task in the world.
I'm loving both the graphics card and the processor. Easy to overclock, especially for a someone new to the whole idea.
Oh, and the last picture was of my helpers in the PC build.
