Description

This was built strictly for gaming. All the guy does is play first person shooter games. He was thrilled the way it turned out. Thank you for looking!

He wanted the GTX 670's left completely stock.

CPU was overclocked to 4.5GHz, cooled by the H80i which worked well.

Beautiful build! Perfectly balanced - all that is needed to finish this build off is a monitor that can handle what that SLI is putting out, such as a 120Hz / 144Hz refresh rate monitor.

Thank you!

Lol, you love the 670 with a passion.

IamApropos [2 Builds] 2 points 11 months ago

I do enjoy me some 670 loven yes ;) though my next GPU will be a AMD card, especially if they keep putting out quality drivers like they have for the last 6+ months.

Sweet looking PC! Overclock those GPU's, maybe put one on just PhysX. Shame you didn't get the windowed case. But +1 from me. Nice temps as well

IamApropos [2 Builds] 2 points 11 months ago

The white version comes with both mesh and a window side panel. I can attest that its probably better for temps to have a side fan to help with the SLI temps, instead of a window.

Hey man I am looking at getting a very similar build let me give you some advice. Instead of putting you drives in the cage they're in put them in the three slot cage next to it. Once you've done that you can remove the larger cage which will allow for better airflow onto you GPU's. Once you've done that buy a pair of these: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/bitfenix-case-fan-bfflpro20025wrp

These are BitFenix Spectre Pro 200mm LED fans. They have white LED's so they look awesome plus they move twice the amount of air as the stock fans. They aren't any louder than the stock fans and they are AWESOME! If you get these you can put on the side window instead of the mesh panel and be able to look in at your beutiful system! Hope I helped!

I think you accidentally replied to me not the builder ;)

Thanks. Yeah he didn't want the GPU's overclocked. The customer wanted specifically asked me to keep them at stock specs. That case actually comes with both the mesh and windowed panel. I recommended the mesh with 2 extra fans to help supply the GPU's with a little extra fresh air. He has the windowed panel he can always put in himself.

Fair enough. Great cable management job for a non-modualr PSU looks very good. And unlike most builds the components aren't outlandish. Nice and balanced. How is the motherboard? I am looking at this or the UD5H as I probably won't be using Thunderbolt at any time in the future, but they're about the same price and it might add some future proofing.

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Thank you very much. I have used several of these now and love them. I like that this board has the IR3550 ICs and that each one is rated up to 60amps. Very good power delivery.

Ggadget 1 point 11 months ago

Is there a reason you went with the dominator plats? They look good, but you can get cheaper 1866 sets.

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

No specific reason. The guy wanted to change the tops to put the light bars on it. Yes, you are correct there is good cheaper 1866 sets available.

Ggadget 1 point 11 months ago

That's cool.

aragorn98 0 points 11 months ago

Purely because they look amazing! And extremely high quality RAM.

Ggadget 1 point 11 months ago

Cool.

YouBaxter [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

...maybe a dumb question..but from the picture of the back of the case...why is the display (maybe?) port going to USB...?

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 3 points 11 months ago

No problem at all. That picture is a little tricky. That is actually the USB3.0 cable from the front panel routed through the case. That case doesn't give you a USB3.0 header to connect to the motherboard. So, unfortunately I had to run it out the back to plug it in.

miniclipgamer [2 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Not exactly sure... Maybe something with controlling the graphics cards, idk.

Enlyten [1 Build] 1 point 11 months ago

Second SLI'd 670s build today :D Great job, your cable management is just stellar, and great use of fans. +1

Thank you for the kind words. I do take a lot of pride in my work.

randomjester 1 point 11 months ago

Super nice, super clean build with excellent cable management! Definitely some of the best components out there and no expenses held back. I like what you did with the drive cage allowing the front fan unblocked air flow, I don't think I've ever seen that type of configuration before, smart!

Hey is your customer just a friend of yours or do you have your own PC building business?

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Thank you very much. I take a lot of pride in my work.

No, he is not a friend. I do have my own business. These are just a few of the builds I have completed. I've built so many for friends & family, I decided to go into business. Plus, I REALLY enjoy building and testing them. I like helping people decide what they really need and want, not what is "in stock" at a retail store. Thanks again!

What do u think of the SSD I am thinking whether to get the pro version or this

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

The pro version is faster. I mean I can tell a difference between this (samsung 840)and my Corsair Force GT 120GB. The Corsair is faster. I would probably opt for the pro if the budget permits.

gt40spec [3 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Gorgeous cable management... Love the Corsair chassis and PSU in there

Haha thank you!

construction [3 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Amazing rig the only bad thing about it is that USB 3.0 cable, but who looks at the back of case anyway. Great Job :)

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 11 months ago

Thank you! Yes, that was my thought exactly.

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you!

wheelerj 1 point 10 months ago

Nice build! My nephew has used the same case and he loves it for all of the extra room in the back panel to hide all excess wires and the great dust filters installed in the chassis.

He tells me that he never has any dust on the components inside the case.

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 10 months ago

Thank you. Yes, I really do like that case as well.

construction [3 Builds] 1 point 9 months ago

This is a beut. I love the colour scheme.

ilian11 [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

I wanted to see who's right above me on benchmarks on this site and boom, what a build. Great job! I love the internals of this case.

JLMCS2012 [Submitter] [4 Builds] 1 point 7 months ago

Thank you very much. I like yours as well. How do you like that CPU cooler?

ilian11 [1 Build] 1 point 7 months ago

Thanks! You can change the colors of the LED light :) Other than that I doubt you'd notice a difference to H80i.

Undead_Warrior12 1 point 4 months ago

Budget build :(

nighthornet7 [1 Build] 1 point 2 months ago
